Uncle met Tian Shi Zhang on the set of Disney’s Mulan when we both couldn’t recognise each other as “merchants”, heavily made-up, bewigged and costumed. Tian is a chef and recently took over a cafe in deepest Epsom and named it Queena’s, after his wife. Queena’s tailors its food to suit the locals of Epsom. Today we tried the creamed mushroom on toast (ciabatta), Tian’s very own chicken pie and for the sweet-tooth, ginger caramel & chocolate slices and melting moment.
