The other day we got back from competing in the US Open in Council Bluffs, Iowa. While we finished the qualifying matches unsatisfied with our 2-8 record, we did not feel that we had performed poorly throughout the competition. All of our matches were fairly close, particularly our last match which we only lost by one point with a score of 59-58. Even though we had a rank of approximately 75 of 88, we were selected by team 9050 to be in the 13th alliance along with 5069D because of our high scoring points and solid performance throughout matches. Although we lost to the fourth alliance (569C, 6813B, and 7201P) in the first round of eliminations, we ended up playing in both matches because of our efficiency with cubes. We got to meet a lot of great teams and see amazing robot designs from all over the country. We are looking forward to finding out next years game and beginning our build process for the next season!
