I love this comment from author and psychologist Sarah Fine @sfkosa on this week's podcast. Does it resonate with you? The great thing about creating is that we don't have to do it to "get somewhere"—we can do it for the sheer pleasure of it. We've been so brainwashed to believe that everything we do has to be "productive" or "get" us something in return that we discount doing things just because we WANT to, because we LOVE them, because they're GOOD for us. Where can you let go of the idea that everything must give you a monetary or financial return and instead focus on what it does for your soul instead? Where have you done it already? How can you remind yourself to do it again? I'd love to hear your thoughts and questions about how to let go of the toxic belief that you can't do things just for yourself, so please share them below!
