How can I raise money for my business? 3 Ways...

Anyone who is investing in you (and your business) would like their money back (and then some). There are 3 basic ways to do this...

Creating stock This means that your backer(s) owns part of you/your business and the only way to recoup those costs is if you sell it. Figure out your goal for your business ahead of time (whether you wish to keep and grow the company or sell it so someone else can develop it). The investor is banking on you to bring their money back.

Creating Profits Another method is give backers all of your profits at first and slowly give them less until they are paid back. Over time their piece of owning your business is less and you are then "paid in full", kind of like a personal financing program.

Creating Partners The last way to raise money is to sell future cash flow. If you want a partner, get a partner, if you want an investor get them and then get rid of them with your success so you can decide where to go/grow on your own.

Remember that the people that help you may believe in you, but ultimately they are literally banking on your success. Although they won't invest in your if they don't trust or believe in you they want your money.

Even if you have the tenacity and the passion for success, you still need the money to make it happen.
