Petite & Sweet TV: A Little Bridal Inspiration
The weather is warming up and that means that wedding season is quickly approaching. There’s a lot of pressure put on the bridesmaids to throw a dazzling bridal shower for their special friend. That's why this week on Petite & Sweet TV, we wanted to show you how planning a bridal shower doesn't have to be as complicated as it seems. Keep reading below for pictures, recipes, and free printables that will help you recreate this beautiful look at home. Remember to check out our partner’s site, Creative Bag for all the supplies you see on our table today, and please share our video and blog with friends and family!
It's crucial for the Petite & Sweet team to start the planning process by creating an inspiration board. This allows us to organize our ideas and stay on track. Remember to keep in mind a color pallet as your gathering your inspiration. We recommend choosing two to four colors. For this week, we were inspired by chalk, craft paper, and accents of yellow, green, and pink.
Everyone loves to eat at a party. That's why the second step is to decide what food you'd like to serve your guests. We strongly believe that you should give your guests the option of two to four bite sized treats. We’ve used lollipops, cupcakes, chocolate dipped Oreos, chocolate covered pretzels and macarons. Check out the recipe below to learn how you can easily make dipped Oreos at home!
Bridal showers should be fun. That's why we've incorporated a delicious and unique cocktail to the mix. We chose a yummy Raspberry Popsicle Mojito that serves both as a boozy drink and a delicious snack. To make your own at home just follow the directions below!
As always, incorporating printables on your sweet table is a great way to personalize an event. All the printables we've used in this episode are available to download for free below! If you would like custom printables, feel free to give us a call for a consultation.
We think it's important to create an experience for your guests at your event. For this bridal shower, we've set up a "Sweet Advice" tree where guests can leave the bride some special messages to take away with her. We also incorporated chalk in many of the aspects on the sweet table including painting vessels with chalk paint, using chalkboard labels on the food and drinks, and placing labels on the mason jars so that guests can write their names on their glasses. Visit Creative Bag for all the chalk labels, tags, and vessels you see on this table!
Part of this experience is creating a fun takeaway for the guests. It's a nice way for the guests to remember what an amazing time they had long after the event has ended. Take a look below for the materials you'll need to assemble the takeaway and watch our video for instructions!
Our final step is to have fun and put everything together! Remember, although today's episode was based around a bridal shower, you can use chalk, craft paper, and most of what you see on this table for any event you're planning!
