This small gadget is crucial for the vintage craft’s operation. Back in the twentieth cent, crafts were liquid powered (like me, #DutchDoubleclutch ). The energy containing liquid was pumped in metered fashion into chemical-reaction chambers where, when compressed along with atmospheric gas and exposed to artificial lightening, a violent reaction ensued causing expansion (the release of that energy), forcing driving members downward, acting upon the arms of a multi-armed spinner which was coupled to a multi-ratio driven-spinner, in turn connected to more spinners, couplers, directional-twist changers and finally to two more spinners coated with congealed tree-sap with a coefficient of friction sufficient to put torque down on a terrestrial surface.
