Giffgaff - Idea Development + Generation.
In the scans above It shows a series of more development work, idea generation as well as furthering some ideas in terms of how will I possibly execute/create these ideas even further. Please read and look through my development work properly:
The idea of a vending machine which provides only giffgaff members rewards and having this vending machine full of treats, vouchers or products. For gaffers to gain and have products come out this vending machine, they would either need to scan their phone on the vending machine scanner or have or use a giffgaff card to gain their products. Downloading an app which will enable individuals access to get products out the vending machine - something along those lines.
The idea of an open area space where giffgaff members come and create/produce or upload anything. Providing a physical space where gaffers (giffgaff) can freely produce and create content/designs/products. Only giffgaff members are allowed in or to participate and if other individuals would like to join in they must volunteer.
The idea of a series of community challenges which gathers the whole giffgaff community together to either solve a problem or to do a series of challenges.
Another thought/idea was possibly relating/connecting it to a cause, so in some way or form possibly trying to help a cause or an individual. This could be an online experience where giffgaff members/community buys a series of products and they have to reach a certain target/goal and once the goal is reached the giffgaff brand than help a cause..something along those lines, my head is still trying to forge it together.
A combination idea: so imagine the secret Santa theme all year round, so gaffers giving other gaffers rewards or presents. But obviously, it won't be something relating back to Santa/secret Santa; the theme or occasion could be anything from Easter, Halloween or even birthdays - I do like how this idea is planning out/turning out. I feel like this idea could have some potential. Hmm, a birthday all year round.. that sounds pretty interesting.
After consideration, there are a few ideas for which I personally think will work and will not work. For example, the brief stats to create either a brand world or real-world experience which encapsulates mutual giving, even though my ideas do reflect back upon mutual giving I generally don't feel its that IDEA (winning idea). Like the scavenger hunt or secret Santa, these ideas encapsulate the mutual giving aspect and benefits not just giffgaff members but non-giffgaff members too but however the vending machine idea not so much - this vending machine idea just benefit giffgaff members it doesn't really get non-giffgaff members - not too sure... still pondering as to what I am going to do.
ALL THAT I HAVE SAID IS STILL IN A WORK IN PROGRESS. STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE PIECES, BECAUSE AS OF RIGHT NOW I HAVE ALL THE PIECES TO A MASSIVE JIGSAW PUZZLE AND I AM LITERALLY PICKING AND CHOOSING THINGS FROM EACH IDEA AND THEN SEEING WHICH IDEA IS THE MOST RELIABLE/STRONG AND ALSO RELATING BACK TO THE BRIEF. COMBINATION SOME IDEAS TOGETHER OR DEVELOPING OTHERS EVEN FURTHER.
Like the idea of combining/merging the scavenger hunt with the helping a cause/an individual. So, for example, the more barcodes/augmented reality which you find it will document on the community page and once the community page has reached an x amount/reached it a goal the giffgaff brand will donate to a cause.
How does the scavenger hunt work - barcodes or augmented reality designs are scattered all over your town centre and your job as a part of the community is to find and gather all of these codes and reality designs once you've done/achieved in gathering all the codes and designs not only shall you all be rewarded as a community but by reaching the “x” goal/finding all the codes the giffgaff brand will donate to a charity.
A better way of explaining it is if they are 10 codes or designs scattered around town it is your job as a gaffer (giffgaff member) to find and locate each and every one of them by either communicating with your fellow peers or following the clues. The way you would find out about these how to find these barcodes or augmented reality is that we would post messages for which you would have to decipher on the community pages/forums. Once you have reached the 10 mark the giffgaff will then donate to a charity.
