FINISHED COVER -
This is the end of the mag - it will be submitted for competition before the 13th of march. Its defferent to most magazines out there now but still keeping with some of the style. Filling the pages with type but keeping a focus on the subject - steezy
DEVELOPMENT -
The next stage was adding more information and choosing font types that would suit the illustrated style of the magazine cover. I used a couple different types to give the cover variety and so it didn’t look too overused. - Also using a little drop shadow gives some depth to parts of the page just adding to the detail of the cover -
DEVELOPMENT -
The next stage was adding more information to the cover and making a few artistic decisions - For example the colours used and if i wanted to use any more illustrated material. I used red as the background because i wanted something super bright that would contrast with the white title - Then with the paint strokes blue went well with the red and white -

Instead of making abstract line graphics for each song,
i think making patterns would be more time saving and interesting for me.
And patterns can be inspired with actual things.
the patterns need to relate with the songs. colours used would be very insterestin experiment too.
This is one of the patterns i made when i was in bangkok...

Something i was doing last night.. it was generated from my sketchbook drawing...
Though i think hand drawn is better than this one.
It indicates colourful music (variety of music) together.
The blue stirry ‘hurricane’-like behind indicates different genres of music mixing together.
And all the music notes hanging on different area of the stir.
this might associate better with some kind of music collaboration, such as singers who sing pop, R&B, dance, electric or classic, like different people gather together and make music.

the one like the second image might look a bit off, and the first one is more likely to be similar to my project...
