So glad someone noticed that, I was originally going to have him name EVERYONE except Boost but then I was like “nah, Mania is just too annoying for Paradox to tolerate him”

And thanks! I’m trying to be… consistent with my characterization of each of them and stay in line with canon but like… URGH sometimes I want to deviate so bad just to indulge but I resist!

Needless to say tho, prism is probably going to get more affectionate later on. Rewatched Sonic Prime again and bro is a cutie patootie!

Headcanons… headcanons… hmm

Well, starting with the obvious, Paradox goes to therapy as I’ve mentioned which I think is hilarious. He and Lance are the only Shadows who really have their shit together which is why I think Sonadow works well for them? (we stan healthy relationships guys)

I do head canon that Eight doesn’t like being touched really at all anymore. After the metal virus, he grew so used to the fact that he couldn’t touch anyone that it sorta just stuck. He does it to save people, but not anything more. :(

And while I’m a sucker for the Trans Sonic HC I decided not to implement it in this particular AU!

I really want to include Captain Sonic and Shadow, but I haven’t played nor watched a serious play through of the game. (I’ve only really listened to a bit of the Snapcube dub..)

can someone tell me if Shadow is a Barista or a Mechanic in that game btw?? I google it, nothing pops up. I could’ve sworn there was something about a mechanic.

Uhh I LOVE Sonic Frontiers, fire game. If I include that one, it’ll ALSO be Sonamy since I’m pretty sure that game takes place before SA2 in canon?

I’m trying to keep the Sonics and Shadows balanced but I’d love to add Generations Shadow and Sonic. Just thinking of names already I get “Doom” for Shadow and “Emerald” for Sonic. (Referencing the fake emerald from their interaction in the shadow story)

Unfortunately I haven’t seen the Archie comics or Sonic Underground so I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

Someone also asked about if I’d ever include different AU’s: maybe if those AU creators gave me permission I’d be down to do a collab for a few asks or something!

Ahahah just kidding! But I am very fast. A few years ago I convinced myself I was a “slow drawer” because I was in a discord server with someone I looked up to (and holy cheese they could draw out fully articulate sketches in like 30 seconds!)

So I got insecure and taught myself to draw really fast. So now I just.. zoom! This does have a terrible draw back where I will very frequently forget smaller details.

Like if you look at half the posts, Shadow is missing his eyeliner and other markings frequently.

THIS IS JUST HILARIOUS TO ME YOU GUYS. PLEASE—

Correct me if I’m wrong, but does King Arthur always kiss Lancelot on his scarred cheek? And generally show affection (touching etc) with that side? Is that a conscious decision on his part?

Will we ever learn how Lance got his scar in this version?

Hmmm, well it wasn’t a super conscious choice for me at the time, but now that you’ve pointed it out I kind of want to adopt that!

Now, I like to think that Arthur stays on Lancelots blind side so that he can cover him there since he’s partially blind in that eye.

This far into their relationship it’s more like a “we protect each-other” situation instead of just a “Lancelot protects his king” situation. :)

(Also I gather these asks for awhile which is why the last part is outdated)

Yeah, half the hands I draw are backwards if you go and look! I only pay special attention to them if they’re the focus of a frame or right up in your face.

It’s because I draw each frame in like 10 minutes or less sometimes. 😭

The version that takes the longest to draw is definitely ‘the murder of sonic the hedgehog’ aka Captain because his whole hat is just a thing.

I think every time I’ve drawn him I just draw the hat once and copy and paste it onto the other views.

But another one I probably would say Snap also takes awhile because I have to draw him out first normally and then go over it again but “low poly.” Same for OG

Heya! Another creator special for you guys :)

So for this one, I don’t know really. I have so many ideas for different Sonic AU’s and comics I want to do but I don’t want to burn myself out even if I have the urge to DRAW DRAW DRAW (cough cough check out my other Sonic art over on @verizzafai )

I am soo grateful for all the support on this blog and I want to provide for yall for awhile. So it won’t wrap up too soon, but I don’t see this particular ask blog lasting more than a year :) (especially with how fast I pump these out)

Of course!!! You are very welcome to start your own ask blog, if you base it directly after mine I’d atleast put a credit somewhere, but if it’s just the idea of “stick them in a room” then you never even have to ask! Also link me when you do… I would love to see it… hehe!

I am very aware of @askssgenerations and their work, while similar in concept, is different to mine! From what they’ve shown/teased their story is going to be very different from mine and I encourage you to check them out if you want more Ask Blog shenanigans. They even were very kind to give me credits for the similarities in our blogs.

I also sort of addressed this in one of my anecdotes at the bottom of my posts but I want to say it again here. Anyone is welcome to do this idea, it’s not a super unique one, you know? Stick a bunch of dudes in a room and make them interact. We love those!!! So go ahead! Create away.

It’s mostly just the fact that they’re knight and king… not super professional for a KING to be in love with a knight, even a high ranking one such as Lancelot.

No, paradox is the only one who knows and he’s going to keep his mouth SHUT! (To everyone else that is, even Prism.)

He’s not as put off by them because Lance and Arthur aren’t “Sonic and Shadow” like the others, so If/when the others find out, they can sorta excuse it.

Well…

Maybe :) for Doom and Emerald those two have a very casual but interesting dynamic I think. Theres a lot more going on with them than what you guys see.

As for Latch and Reeves. They are adorable, they’re my boys. And they will def have some moments but their arcs won’t revolve around shipping the way some of the others do.

Yes… 2060 asks in the box!!! Insane! I have that number out there so that everyone understands not every ask can/will be answered but I do see all of them!

And I mean all of them. Some of you are FREAKS!!! You guys are def not overwhelming me, so have no worries about that. I love this AU and want to produce quality content for you guys. I’m trying to improve my art as well so you may see some style experimentation soon.

Honestly, I’d slap the headcanon on all of them.

But if I HAD to pick probably Prism because he’s my favorite Sonic and as my favorite you will have so many afflictions and conditions. (I’m sorry, I love them all but he is my boy I love Prism sm…)

That was the original plan… but I feel like that would take a VERY LONG TIME. Especially with the amount of time I spent on Paradox and Prism…

I think I’m going to speed up a little for this next Act! Do I know how many acts Sonic Verse will be? I don’t know. I’ve only got a general direction planned out because I want you guys to influence the story. As is the point of an ask blog.

How did Emerald and Shade end up rooming together?

Were they just the two leftover? Otherwise I would have thought that Shade would pick Eight since they‘ve worked together during the metal virus arc.

Is Shade embarrassed that he got turned? Does he feel cringe now? Is he aggressively dodging that 'I told you so'? Is that what this is?

Okay: first note! Sorry for the lack of updates the last two days :D I’m working on ironing out a few bits to Paradox and Prisms story and I’ve been a bit busy with life things! In the meantime: behind the scenes!

Emerald and Shade ended up together because, yes to all of your reasons.

They were the final ones left and while I did briefly consider putting Eight and Shade together, I decided against it because while Sonic and Shadow don’t hate eachother in IDW, I wouldn’t call them close enough yet to share.

Going to be real, I don’t think Shade and Emerald really talk. They just mutually agree “ok, pillow wall, you get that side I’ll get this one” they sleep, wake up, and leave the tent.

also I loved how you worded this ask it was hilarious: short answer yes

Same thing for Eight and Bandi, except Eight is curled up all the way on the far side of the tent and their pillow wall is twice as tall.

I wish I could do a bit more with Eights touch adverseness and show it but he’s been ASLEEP.

Also no one rooming with boost was very mutual with all.

Everyone saw an extra tent and was like “uhh boost you can have that one dude” (he kicks in his sleep)

But yes!! Don’t worry my friends, I won’t ONLY focus on Paradox and Prism. I will do little mini comics of dynamic development between all the others.

I also want to start doing more Shadow and Shadow and Sonic and Sonic’s interactions. I feel like right now I mostly have Shadows and Sonic’s just interacting with their versions and I’m like?? Make friends guys!!

Okay so the way I’m approaching this:

The only Sonics in the same “timeline” are Classic and Emerald.

While Emerald (and other sonics and shadows) have experienced the same/similar events, doesn’t mean he was there for those versions. That might not make sense idk it’s 1 am.

So like, for SATBK, he does recognize Lancelot, but it’s not the Lancelot he knew.

For our SATBK story, it’s the exact same, except King Arthur and everyone had some weird magic spell cast on them that made them weird, Arthur has memory loss, game events happen, memory back, peace restored! Yay.

So yeah, they could have a good chat about it but still different.

Hello! I’m going to be an answering a few of these questions I’ve gotten that would work much better if I just answer them like this!

So, Yes you’re correct, Sonamy for Boom and Sonadow for Prime and SATBK. At the moment, Paradox and Prism are both SINGLE (but who knows?) And Bandi is in a complicated relationship with his Amy.

Since it’s going to be a second before we really get into the “stories” of this Ask Blog, I’ll give one word, shock. And depending on who, maybe a bit of horror. I can also promise, a lot of embarrassment! And don’t think Paradox and Prism will get all the fun, I’ve got plans for you Bandi…

Yeah basing it pretty much just off of vibes. Or other random things. The oldest/most mature Sonic is no doubt King Arthur and then Classic and Pipsqueak are the youngest Sonic’s.

Although I’d say least responsible Sonic has to belong to either Bandi or Ego.

Prism and Paradox. Very quickly took control of the situation, most have an inkling of respect for that.

Can you guys tell I’ve watched Sonic Prime four times yet?

Tired. After he gets in a good nap he’ll be fine. Usually they don’t need sleep, but after everything they’ve been doing??

*not for any of the Bois* but omg I love this. How they're all drawn where theyre all Shadow and Sonic but still uniquely themselves. Esp that glowsticks ask for the SMU duo and how expressive the primes are (the ears omg, one of my fav parts of that show). Love that Lance and Arthur are together like an old married couple. Love this so much and looking forward to where it goes next. (Really glad I watched Snapcubes play through of TMoStH a few days ago, excellent timing on my part lol)

I love it when you guys notice all the little details I try to pack in to make sure each Sonic and Shadow is different. I fear I will dip into more OOC/headcanon personality traits for some of the Sonic’s and Shadows as we progress (it’s a bit unavoidable… sorrey)

Paradox and Prism are the only Sonic and Shadow who emote with their ears. I try to keep Latch and Reeves eyes more square and give them pupils. The tops of Bandi and Boosts eyes are colored black. Lance and Arthur are just 🏳️‍🌈 and there’s other stuff like Snap and OG being “low poly” hehe.

Yes!!! I headcanon that he “accepted” and really realized he liked Prism pretty recently (as we’ve seen) but before that it was an unconscious crush from this moment onward.

LIKE OH MY GODDD THE WAY HE REACHES FOR HIM AND HIS PUPILS GET SMALLER AND HIS EARS DROOP OH MY GRRRAHHH

At first he just chalks it up to caring about Prism like a friend after their shared experience. And his ass thinks “man I sure would like to cuddle under the stars with this guy, damn I hate him, must be normal friendship feelings since I don’t have many of those” and now he’s like “ah shit yeah I see it”

Their “task” was just being together with Amy. Which they already were. So they have special permission to exposition dump help out!

You guys have no idea how much YOU mean to me and this blog, I would NOT be half as motivated to continue it if not for you guys. I do my best to balance the characters based on popularity so if some of them do slip through the cracks, I’m sorry 😭💕

And I’m still learning how to draw Sonic characters… I’m trying my best to get the best I can so that you guys can get the highest quality I can achieve with such my skill set :’D
