I got so much tidying and organizing done today and I listened to the end of one book and the first few chapters of another in a way that felt so normal for the first time in ages, in that it wasn't being interrupted by dumb notifications whenever one came in. And just, like, the sheer relief of not being forced to use my phone for everything is so real.

Anyway, I fill any available flat surface with shit, and today I got so much shit organized and off of said available flat surfaces, including: my cutting table, my work table, and the guest bed in the next room. Just a twin bed full of stuff I could have put away months ago, but honestly it happens when it happens.

Comfort movies I have watched to get me through this week:

I watched The Return of Godzilla on HBO Max on Wednesday just to see what was unique about the version there. It was my first Godzilla movie, in its Godzilla 1985 cut, so it definitely helped a bit.

Today I watched Creature (1985), which is one of the best Alien cash-ins out there for my money. The only thing better than Alien cash-ins are Jaws cash-ins, so it definitely hit the spot.
