Check out my newest video on The Worst Credit Cards, low limit credit cards https://youtu.be/jqlowv9w-Ao Many of you call me telling me you need credit repair because you have too many inquiries on your credit report. At times, the inquiries aren't the issue, it's the credit utilization on your credit cards that is mostly hurting your credit scores. Many of you have new credit cards and you go to the credit cards companies who offer you credit with low limit credit cards. These are the worst credit cards to have as they can be easily maxed out and if they are new credit cards, meaning in the last 6 months and if they get maxed out, they can really hurt your credit scores. Many think that inquiries are what's causing your credit scores to tank but in actuality it's you being maxed out on your new credit cards. At times, the issue it easy to fix, especially with low limit credit cards. All you have to do is pay down your credit cards by the reporting date and once it updates on the credit report, your scores will change. This is why your credit scores are based on what you are currently paying on right now, if you are maxed out or not. Usually, if you are maxed out, your credit scores can be in or around 690 to 710 credit scores. If you owe 10 to 30 % of the credit utilization, you will be in or around 720 to 740+ credit scores. The issue with this customer is that he is over extended on his credit cards by 157% and that will def bring your credit scores down. Look at the videos around 4:00 minute mark I talk about why his credit scores are down on 2 bureaus (experian and Transunion) and why they are higher on equifax. Again, if the low limit credit cards are easily paid down, we suggest you add higher limit credit cards to have more of a fuller "thicker" credit file and once those tradelines are on your report and give you a boost in credit scores, then you can go and get higher limit credit cards.
