There has been an interesting development with the seating numbers.

DD was initially set in row 2, seat 27. Some fans believe he did not want to sit in that seat because he didn't want there to be four spaces between him and GG (four is an unlucky number to most Chinese people because it sounds like the word for death).

He may or may not have been aware that it was also seat 227.

He switched seats with Li Xian so he is sitting in seat 228 instead. Staff also rolled up the number sticker that was next to his name so that 227 was no longer visible next to his name, even though he is sitting in seat 228.

I should also point out that while this can be seen as romantic, it is a big error on the part of the Weibo staff. DD has been attacked and blamed for 227 for years, and it is an insult for him to be put in that seat. It could also lead to more attacks toward him from haters who still believe he was responsible for it. It was just irresponsible of Weibo to put him in that position.

I enjoy reading through YiZhan CPN partially BECAUSE we don't know what's true. Most of what's out there is totally made-up.

I'm in this fandom because I genuinely saw two people behaving in a way I relate to as a queer person, and came to the conclusion they're in a relationship. Now there are fun rumors out there like Xiao Zhan's ring on a necklace, and fun connections like the tulips or the cameras, and I can enjoy theorizing about what it means while knowing this isn't serious, this is just gay theorizing.

The idea of getting a confirmation of BJYXSZD, that ISN'T some out-and-proud announcement from the men themselves, feels rather invasive to me. I don't WANT to find out someone outed them against their will. Getting confirmation of their relationship because of someone forcing them out of the closet? Would make me so sad.

I'd rather never know the truth and keep on speculating.
