zombie apocalypse au. what role does each blorbo play?
so i’m going to preface this with the fact that i simply do not know anything about the zombie apocalypse genre and ill be grasping at straws here with my 2 am brain
Creiu is like, the lone wolf renegade who’s spent the entire series on the move, trying to survive on their own without really grouping with other people. They made the mistake of thinking that there was survival in numbers, and then there was only them left. Now they’re alone, and they refuse to join with anyone else for more than just a couple hours— but it’s fun and convenient when they deus ex machina their way into the conflict with a goddamn hunting rifle.
Skies is likely the de facto healer/medic of the group, not because they’re necessarily good at it, but because the last healer got got while in the middle of teaching them how to medicine. They’re a little traumatized after watching everyone around them disappear, but they’re doing their best.
JC’s the character who ended up getting bit protecting his siblings, sacrificed himself permanently to save them, and then showed up again later as a zombie for maximum emotional damage. Conan and Hanna did not have the heart or will to shoot him.
No one knows how Stella has survived this long. Recurring gag character who is fucking “live love laughing” her way through this damn apocalypse. At first it’s annoying, but after a certain point you’re kind of relieved that she’s still so optimistic in her pov. She’s too much of a fan favorite to kill. Also, she has a shotgun now, and this is terrifying.
Via’s plotline has so much interpersonal drama in it that you just keep on wishing that they’d join up with Creiu and be another badass renegade instead of being stuck in a toxic group dynamic. The zombies might be preferable to whatever’s going on there, at this rate.
Ico haunts the narrative as like, a zombie pov or something. I think he’s crucial to finding the cure to the zombie shit in some way, due to him being barely-sentient but also still very much dead. Alas, he does not survive the series, but his existence does save everyone else who survived.
Farren occupies the “child that must be protected” role of the series and honestly she’s probably kind of fed up with it. Give her a gun. Somebody give her a gun. Please. I think most other characters treat her like a child to be protected, but Farren has shown herself to be capable of surviving on her own. And also to be pretty horrendously traumatized, but that’s a different problem.
Kassie’s the one who’s convinced that a nail bat will solve all her problems. Unfortunately, a nail bat will not solve your brother getting bit. And that fucking asshole is hiding it before he offs himself because of course he would do that. Kassie is not going to let him do that. She’d rather die and become infected with him before letting him do that.
