Like FOUR ingredient cremebrulee
All stove top and and no refined sugar.
Now get yourself some heavy cream, some grade aaaaaa++++ special Wisconsin from a guy named dave maple syrup, milk and some egg yolks.(possibly sugar refined from maple syrup i couldn't find any)
This bit aint that tricky you can tell where i am going here. This is for @thebibliosphere
I used 1 cup heavy cream a third cup of milk and half cup of maple syrup. This made mine really sweet. So you may need to adjust it. Then 4 egg yolks, since whites are evil. Keep those aside as you mix all your liquids together, then get liquids hot, take a little out and temper your eggs. Once the eggs are warm throw them in. Stir and heat until thickened. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
Once it is THICC put it into ramkins or whatever bowl you please, put plastic crap on top to prevent a skin forming and chill. It will get more THICC once chilled.
Bitchin no bake recipe because the oven is broken
I went out and even went the extra mile to buy pure organic non-homogenized milk AND heavy cream to make this. Along with the maple syrup as mentioned above. 30$ a pop. Its worth it! Now you may notice there is something called ‘cornstarch’ in this recipe. NO. We do NOT need that. NO TOUCHING the powder!
If you like to know, the basic conversion for maple syrup replacement this bitchin link gives you the general idea for what to do.
As you can tell I fucked up and used a LOT more syrup then recommended. But screw it. You only live once. Plus, I will be making one with coconut milk, and another JUST using whole milk. ANd that is WHOLE WHOLE milk. Like cream on the TOP whole milk. To make three ingredient stuff. Just milk, eggs, and syrup. WE CAN DO THIS. WE CAN MAKE THIS SHIT WORK. BAKING IS A SCIENCE.
Then I will be doing this with solely milk, eggs, and syrup. That is cheep 2% milk. Then once I can get to my other store I’ll do it with some goat milk. BECAUSE I CAN. I like custard to. Its good stuff!
