37: is it easier to forgive or forget?

"easier?” tito repeats, brow furrowing at the question. if they’re being honest, neither one of the aforementioned options are easy. he knows what he wants to do — forgive, always forgive — but that doesn’t make it easy. it’s been eight years since their dad died and no matter how hard they try, they haven’t found it in himself quite yet to forgive the people who were responsible for it, whoever they were. “i think they’re both hard, but i also think that forgiveness is worth it. i’m trying to be better at it but it certainly isn’t easy.”

3 — do you regret anything?

wasting all that time on an idiot who couldn’t figure himself out. not dragging his parents along with him to that performance. running and running and running, never stopping to catch his breath. wasting more time on an idiot who treated him like dirt. never learning to know anyone deeper than surface level. handing over something so, so important without stopping to think twice about what he was doing. all of these things gather on the tip of his tongue, but what he answers is much simpler: “ yes. ” 

30 — what’s irritating you right now?

he frowns, thinking of the way dali’s brow furrows in suspicion whenever she regards him for too long. it bothers him much more than he’d like to admit, and the fact that it’s getting to him at all frustrates him even more. it’s an endless fucking cycle. “ i don’t know, maybe the fact that i’m basically fucking cursed to walk this godforsaken earth ‘til its inevitable heat death because i got scammed one time? i’m usually pretty irritated about that one. ”

Juliet: What is your favorite luxury?

“You’re asking the right person. I’m going to say it’s between clothes and travelling. I love buying expensive clothes, or just whatever I want honestly. And I love being able to go places with my friends and family.”

“For sure. If the universe saw fit to send some my way, I would not be mad.”

26: what are you craving right now?

“honestly? i had this ritual every saturday morning, where i’d crumble bacon into my oatmeal and eat it on the couch, and watch cartoons. just me, kickin it, until it was noon and i’d get up to play the drums. it was my perfect morning, really. i’d never felt more relaxed than i did doing that. i feel like if i could taste that again, i’d feel a lot better about like... everything, basically.”

52: do you believe everything happens for a reason?

"sure, i guess so. if you’d asked me before i died, i would’ve said fuck yes, and i would’ve been sure those reasons were because of some bigger cosmic good. but now? i don’t know. i guess it’s not everyday that people come back as ghosts and get a second chance at their whole life, but i can’t say i think it’s a good one anymore. but for a reason? any reason at all? yeah, sure. why not? it wouldn’t be the craziest assertion i’d ever seen. not after the week i’ve had.
