It had been the longest time since she’d attended a wedding and, it had been purely by chance that she had been asked to attend as a ‘plus one’ (the eye rolls she’d tossed to begin with) and with the availability of whatever open bar had been on offer, Grace had quite literally downed her weight in alcohol, which had never done her any good favors in the past. She’d already torn her dress, when it had gotten stuck on one of her heels when she’d first gone to the bathroom. Weddings, coupled with the free-flowing alcohol were never a great combination for Grace, so as she sat at the bar, her wedding date had gone off to mingle somewhere, she was left to cast around her resting-bitch face at the guests in attendance, until she could find some other form of amusement.

Knowing that he didn’t officially have a date wasn’t what bothered him the most. It was the fact that he didn’t know when the reception would happen, when the ceremony would start, when would be an appropriate time to bother a few people. Weddings were kind of weird, there was a lot of things going on around you, but a lot of it seemed like a surprise to guests. It made the whole experience a little confusing. The hors d’Oeuvres that were being passed around looked like artwork, something Oliver never really understood. Why eat something that looked too beautiful? Instead, he popped at the bar, looking for anything that would be strong enough to keep him occupied for the evening. However long that may be. “Double Maker’s on the rocks with a twist,” He cash tipped the bartender before downing the glass, subtly speaking to the person to his left, “What’s the point of being at a wedding sober?” He unbuttoned his jacket as he leaned against the counter a bit, eyeing the bartender for a second round.

Their vows would be exchanged among the roses in the vineyard, followed by the reception in the chateau ballroom. The onsite hotel is also fully booked to accommodate guests wishing to stay, or that may need a room. The brides-to-be look forward to your presence at this joyous occasion as they begin the next chapter of their lives together.

FOOD: PASSED HORS D’OEUVRES. TWO COURSE PLATED DINNER OF THE GUESTS’ CHOICE WITH VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN OPTIONS. DESSERT TABLE.

DRINK: PREMIUM OPEN BAR, TABLESIDE WINE AND CHAMPAGNE SERVICE, AND WEDDING COUPLE SIGNATURE COCKTAIL

The event will last for one day in-game, but it will last in real time from Wednesday, April 28th at 12:00 pm EST to Wednesday, May 5th at 12:00 pm EST

Attending the event is optional; if your character chooses to not attend, they must still comply with activity requirements.

If you would like your character to have received an invitation to the wedding, you are free to assume so regardless of their prior connection to either of the brides-to-be! You’re also welcome to message either @sanemreid or @alli-pellisier to plot further if you’d like.

In addition to having been invited, there are other ways for your character to be in attendance. Examples include being a vendor at the wedding, coming as a plus one to someone else, or even crashing. Get creative with it, and please feel free to reach out to Sanem and/or Allison’s muns if you want to plot for this as well!

If your character is attending the event, you have the option to continue your non-event threads or pause them during this time. If you choose the latter, whether you end your threads before the event or resume them after is up to you and your writing partners.

We will NOT be conducting any acceptances during the event, therefore we have a somewhat modified acceptance schedule over the next few days. Acceptances will take place as planned on Monday, April 26th at 6:00 pm EST. After that, we will be holding a special round of acceptances on Tuesday, April 27th at 6:00 pm EST so that anyone who wasn’t able to get in with the previous night’s acceptance has the chance to do so before the event. Once the event finishes, we will resume our regular acceptance schedule.

The ignition of the cigarette was fuming against her lips as she puffed out a heavy breath. Where was he? For all Nel knew, he was most likely inside the building, jabbering on about something to anyone that would listen. For her, weddings meant a huge amount of money being spent on something that would probably last a good five to six years, and then implode. Leaving you with lawyers and additional funds that would drive you into debt by the time you were fifty. It wasn’t exactly romantic, if she was being honest. Then again, it wasn’t that she knew anything different. 

One turn of her head, her arms crossing her body, she swallowed at the sight of the man in front of her. She just wasn’t used to seeing Zay in a suit, that was all. “Where have you been?” She asked, a little accusatory. Mostly from being left alone in an unfamiliar setting with people she’d rather not interact with. Her tone softened a bit, “I just couldn’t find you anywhere and I think the ceremony is starting soon. Obviously wanted to sit with you. Would’ve been weird if my date ditched me.”

It wasn’t like he was actually looking for her but for Max Cora stood out of a crowd as if she was a whole foot taller and shining like the sun. She really shone, in that dress with her silky smooth hair and radiant smile. He couldn’t help staring for a moment. Okay, Max was not wasted, and maybe that's why the guilt was pulled over him like a veil and washed away his smile in a matter of seconds. He shouldn't - but he did, feet moving in her direction. With a deep breath and a hard swallow, he closed the distance between them with each step he took and stopped just a few feet from her. Damn it, he should really leave her alone, but everything had been so good, or at least okay, until a few months ago. He would give anything just to go back to it. They didn’t even have to talk to each other, just let everything be okay. What would he even say? He had tried last time he saw her but Cora was a strong woman. She managed without him, clearly. They didn’t need each other, but that didn’t erase what Max wanted. ❛ Can I borrow a second or... Is that too much to ask? ❜

As much as Sam didn’t want to admit it, he was feeling a little more emotional than expected seeing Sanem and Alli so utterly happy and in love. Sanem was someone he looked up to, someone he admired and a part of him wondered if their rather regular antics would change now that she was settling down. They’d had that conversation and he was sure it was just his ever-looming fear of abandonment hitting him hard but there he was, a drink in his hand and a cigarette in his other as he felt a fairly unfamiliar sting behind his eyes. He let out a snort at himself and reached up to wipe at his eyes a little clumsily, consider he could only use his sleeve to do it with when someone came closer and Sam went right back to being, well, Sam. He immediately cleared his throat and grinned at them widely – yet, there was still a hint of emotion glimmering in his dark eyes. “Shit, you always sneak up on people like that? Can’t get a minute of privacy at functions like that, huh?” He joked, eager to gloss over his moment of weakness.
