Max wasn’t going to lie; he’d searched for her face at the hospital when he got his hand checked for the day but after not seeing it, he decided to text her instead. When recieving a reply that she was home Max announced he’d swing by on his way back from his check up. At least if it was no trouble for her but to be honest he was getting so bored doing practically nothing that it wouldn’t have been impossible for him to show up unannounced. He did it with Aless, but he supposed that was different. They were like brothers. His hand was healing well at least, they said. It still looked pretty gross without the bandage but as long as he kept taking care of it himself, it would probably look fine in a few weeks. Knocking on Cora’s door with his right hand he bit down his lower lip for a moment. The mystery male doctor had been on his mind lately, for a number of reasons. First of all, who was he? Was he single? Even though he did come off as kind of an asshole based on Cora’s reaction, Max got another vibe as well, one that was hard to place. Did he bother her a lot? Was it possible she liked him? He tried to remember how she had first reacted with Max himself but it had been almost twenty years. The door swung open and interrupted his thoughts, a grin spreading across his lips as dark hues scanned her features. ❛ He, Doc. ❜ HIs brows raised slightly. ❛ Promise I’m not just here because I’m bored. ❜
