OPEN EVENT STARTER.
John had been looking forward to Sanem’s and Alli’s engagement party since the moment Alli had proposed. He couldn’t help that he was a hopeless romantic at heart – he just loved love and therefore any and all celebrations that came with it. Seeing the two brides to be so happy being celebrated warmed his heart and with so many familiar faces around, it was easy for him to fall into greeting and talking to people animatedly as he made his way around the venue.
After he’d chatted away with an acquaintance of his, finishing the last of his sparkling cider, he had been quick to excuse himself in order to get another glass and take a look around to see if there was anyone he hadn’t greeted just yet. Navigating events like these by Quinn’s side was still new to him but he didn’t mind sticking to non-alcoholic options in the slightest and while he knew that Quinn didn’t expect him to, it was something he wanted to do. On his own terms and out of respect. Yet, he made sure to keep an eye out – just in case. While he came to a brief halt to do just that and his eyes wandered around the room, he didn’t notice that he was blocking the way slightly at first but was quick to step aside once he did, an apologetic smile on his lips. “Oh! God, sorry. I was a little lost in thought there. By all means, go right ahead,” John said, gesturing at the set up table of drinks and hors d'oeuvre behind him.
