First look at the finished chapbook.
There’s still a little tweaking to be done so that it’s what I deem as perfect, but please be patient and gentle with me. I’ve posted so many vulnerable things, but this feels different, which can only mean good things.
I don’t share much on here, despite baring my soul through poetry, but my Mother is being admitted to the hospital today for a double heart bypass. Her operation isn’t until tomorrow, but I don’t think I’ll be seeing her tomorrow, so today will be the last time I see her until she’s come through the operation.
I’m scared, especially now I only have a couple of hours until we drive there. I want to stay strong for her, so I’m making a lot of jokes, but there is a gnawing pain in the pit of my stomach.
I made her a pack to take in there with her; a handwritten letter, a few baby pictures of my sister and I, my dream catcher and a handwritten quote. I hope it’s enough to show her how much I care, I keep feeling like I’m not doing enough, but I don’t know what else I can do.
Fucking hell, woman. You are gorgeous, a femme fatale, a fucking goddess! Keep shining.
i’m literally screaming !!!!!!!!!!!

She lay naked in it for hours before falling asleep, wondering what its rays would do to her skin, her hair, her eyes, and then deeper, to her feelings. By this ritual it seemed to her that her skin acquired a different glow, a night glow, an artificial luminousness which showed its fullest effulgence only at night, in artificial light.

I decided it was time to make a completely separate account for my personal one, so I finally forced myself to do it;

Once you get this you have to say 5 things you like about yourself, publicly, and then send it to 10 of your fave followers. Tagged by the sweetness that is @metvmorqhoses.
1. I think I can safely say I have a pretty impeccable taste in music; I don’t know if this is something that I can count, but I like it, so it totally counts.
2. I’m not selfish. Don’t get me wrong, I can be possessive as fuck, but I share everything from food to clothes to roll-ups that I’ve put far too much tobacco in. Which kind of leads onto number three.
3. I go out of my way sometimes to make sure my friends are happy, ranging from doing small things like chilling out in their room all day to watch films, or reminding them of memories we’ve shared, or my absolute favourite - making thing for people. I enjoy letter writing, and I often leave them hidden in friends rooms and wait for them to find it. Also, I like making them cute, personalised playlists.. if they cry because they’re so happy, total bonus. (Sadistic?)
4. I like my freckles. They’re everywhere. My favourites are the ones scattered over my lips and knees. It might be a bit vain, but I think they’re cute, and everyone is always a bit taken aback when they realise my lips are freckled as well as everywhere else.
5. I like how I form friendships and that I somehow seem to make the friends I do have, happy. God knows how, but I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, it seems to be working.
