I would die for her
I swear, Asha is the cutest thing in the world.
I now realize that I never really introduced her on Tumblr when I got her, so I am introducing her now. This is Asha. She is a female dalmatian crested gecko, weighing 40 grams on average. She is approximately a year old. I got her on August 4th 2018, although I never posted about her because I was focused on figuring out how to be a gecko mom.
And now I will spam with pictures.
She has gone off food a little bit so I am keeping a close eye on her, but other than that she is doing very well. I love her to pieces 💚
This is from the day we got Top Spot. He was a Petco rescue as you can see by his skin he was dehydrated, housed with 4 other males, housed at dry desert temperatures and tank set ups despite being arboreal and tropical geckos. 😳 We got him after my plan to get a RTB gargoyle flopped in Berkeley, we drove him home in his cardboard carton and put him in the tub to see about getting him some food. I can tell you he didn’t eat any for the first few days, now he eats Pangea and shakes violently at bugs near his face, what the geck man!!
He has one giant spot on his back in the middle of his flame, he also has some mad harlequin on his sides and chocolate brown when fired up. When he’s not he’s a very pale beige with his spots. I love him to bits he’s grown and bounced back well from being a Petco rescue. ❤️
Amber was a little shy about eating her leftover toe shed, can you tell?
Top Spot in the lime light, beware shameless self promotion 😂👇🏼 ~For more geckos follow me @crestiecrew ~
What Gecko To Get Next???
Hey guys looking into other gecko species to go alongside our Cresteds. We’d like to keep the same kind of care generally speaking (hopefully more tropical types that require less lamps or lights) however for the right one we’ll invest of course.
We’ve been looking at Tibetan Frog Eyed Geckos, Wahlbergs Geckos, Tokays, Gargs and Leaf tailed what others should we look at?? Leo’s are meh but for a cool one we’ll bend. Leachies get so big it’s kinda scary and chewies I’m not too informed on???
