One of the largest geckos in Madagascar, with  a snout–vent length of up to 20 cm and a total length of up to 32.2 cm.

I went to the St. Louis Zoo today and took some fun photos of all the cool animals. There’s too many for one ask, so here’s a couple of my favorites;

1. These Diabloceratopses

These animatronics were absolutely amazing and I loved all the dinosaurs but I loved this little family the most.

2. Mangshang Pit Viper

A beautiful, critically endangered green serpent.

3. Blomberg’s Giant Toads

These big guys were hanging out on a log, eager for a photo shoot.

4. Leaf Tailed Gecko

This guy was hanging out on the glass, just chilling.

5. Rowley’s Palm Pitviper

He’s beautiful.

6. King Julian

There's few things in the world I love more than zoos, Dino, so these are some exquisite snapshots!! 🤩🤩🤩

The dino exhibit had me overjoyed when it was first announced and I'm glad that you got to experience all these beautifully crafted prehistoric beasties! And that they gave dinos like Diabloceratops some spotlight.

Stopping by the reptile house is always a fun time! I especially love it when the snakes are active and swaying their heads about, or getting to see the frogs all clumped together and chilling with their moischur.

But geckos are some of my favorites. Look at him! He's a little guy with a leafy butt!

Fun Fact about ringtails (lemurs are my favorite primates), they frequently engage in stink battles, rubbing their tails all over the scent glands on their wrists and chests and waving their fumes at the other lemur. Whoever smelt it dealt it. It being a crushing blow to their rival's pride.

Satanic! Leaf! Tailed! Gecko! They come in a bunch of different colors and their leaf-shaped tail is adapted to help camouflage them amongst dry leaves.

geckos AU : Sephiroth + Genesis + Angeal (I said I would do it, didn't I?)

got sick with the flu last week so I designed AGS as side characters for Rhaco: Geckos of New Caledonia.

Introducing the Dead (Bird) Poets' Club!

Genos (Satanic Leaf-tailed gecko) is the club's self-declared leader, as he is also its founder. He's a theater kid and came up with the idea of carrying around bird wings strung up like costumes to perform roles from his favorite plays (mostly Leafless).

Seflop (Giant Leaf-tailed gecko) is the club's de facto leader on account of his actual bird-killing track record. At first this was accidental, but now he has a problem and they can’t make him stop... what's his deal with property damage all of a sudden? The hair is a cape of egret feathers. They're not natural... we think.

Anjil (Frilled Leaf-tailed gecko) was roped into his best friends' club and now acts as damage control, carrying the overflow wings from their bird-killing sprees. He is on good terms with Zekk and routinely apologizes for the club's antics. He also doesn't just leave.

I only had time for AGS right now, but as for Cloud and Zack-- they run a joint tailoring shop in the gecko village (feathers, leaves, & fur fashion). Clao does mainly feathers, so he's a constant victim of his wares being raided by the AGS club.
