“I dunno why you keep asking me to sign off on chore lists, Lash.” Siren said, as she signed said list.
“We’ve been over this,” The lizard man said patiently, in the tone of someone who had indeed been over this a thousand times, and was prepared to go over it a thousand more. “This way no one argues with it, and it ensures I am not making any subconscious favoritism.”
“I mean, it’s not like I read the damn thing.” Siren pointed out, handing it back. “I wouldn’t know.”
“Yes, but you should. Also, in case anyone argues, it has the captain’s signature on it.”
“No one has argued your lists in the history of you makin’ lists.” She stretched her shoulders, and gave her lieutenant an accusatory stare. “I think you’re just trying to train me to sign anything you shove in my face.”
“No need to be rude, Boss. Also, this is the bank note you need to sign to transfer the Ravagers their share from the last job we did together.”
Siren rolled her eyes, but smiled slightly as she signed the paper.
