as of today, monday, may 3rd, thechoir-roomhq is sadly closing it’s doors! as the real world is opening up again, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for the admin team to devote time and energy into creating this vivid world we have loved so much.
don’t be mistaken, this decision was as difficult and heartbreaking for us to make as it might be for you to hear! we cannot stress enough how much we have adored this group and it’s many colorful faces and characters these past nine months. this world we have built together has been truly incredible and the memories it holds will always be treasured.
thank you, thank you, thank you so much to anyone and everyone who has ever stopped by the halls of mckinley or the streets of new york to craft stories that helped us smile in the lull of the pandemic in 2020.
because you have all become near and dear to us ooc and ic, the choir room discord will remain open for anyone who wishes to chat in it for old time’s sake.
as poor sexy dan’s dad once said, our work here is done, there's only one thing left to do, say goodbye, we bid the choir room adieu with the fondest of regards.

the classes of 2041 and 2042 have both graduated and scattered across the world to chase their dreams, pursue education, and bask in adulthood...or something like that. whether they be in new york, chicago, columbus, lima, l.a, or even overseas, it seems that good times, juicy drama, and adversity still follow them wherever they go. now weaning away from the “glory days” these lima losers at heart are facing problems familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, heartbreak, long distance, working, studying, and finding time to partake in the college party scene all at once.
spring break of 2043 was epic, but like all good things, it’s come to an end. class will be back in session come monday, jobs will be returned to, and life will pick back up to it’s repetitive and tedious nature. luckily, the end of the semester is close at hand, and hopefully they’ll find some relief in returning home for at least part of the summer...

Summer Talent Show Fundraiser for the New Directions (2041)
The New Directions won the 2041 National Show Choir Championship with a setlist of Northern Downpour (Ivy St.James, Julien Schuester), Perfect Places (Troubletones, 3 features available), and Life in A Northern Town, (5 features available)
Vocal Adrenaline placed second, and the Warblers placed third.
In the 2042 Season, the New Directions took home a second 1st Place Nationals Trophy, ushering in a new era of never before seen success.

Austin Nelson and Winnie Clarington-Smythe welcomed a daughter, Caroline Brooke Nelson, into the world in the Fall of 2041. Her Godparents are Zoe Puckerman and Rocky Remington.
Candy Motta moved to LA and has not really been in contact with anybody
Samuel Chang was offered a record deal with Columbia Records.
Rocky Remington was set to go to North Western in the fall of 2042, but after being contacted by his mother after years of radio silence, he impulsively changed his plan. He has been off the grid and exploring in South America with her, rebuilding their relationship. He hasn’t been in touch with anyone in Lima in the past year.

hello lima losers & legends! this is your formal announcement that the choir room hiatus is officially over and the rp has reopened. we hope you all enjoyed your break and are feeling inspired and rejuvenated to continue telling these stories.
please read the plot update if you haven’t already, as well as our updated rules to see what counts as activity. we look forward to seeing you all back on the dash!
all college students who were on spring break should be getting ready to head back to their respective cities to resume classes on monday, 3/22.
first of all, we just wanted to say thank you to those of you who participated in the member survey. given the results, we are very excited to announce that the time jump will be happening now rather than later.
starting tomorrow (3/12) the choir room will be closed for renovation until friday (3/19). in this time, the admin team will focus on updating the main and discord. during this group wide hiatus, members will be tasked with filling out new app forms, updating bios, and going through their very own member to do list. we encourage you to not only take this time to do some headcanoning and planning of your own, but to relax, reset, and get stoked for college life!
in game, we will be bumping up spring break for our high schoolers to tomorrow (3/12) and when we resume on fri. 3/19, we’ll be seeing the world through the lens of these same characters, who are returning from their college spring break in 2043 and prepping to get back to class on monday, 3/22! a larger, more in depth plot drop will be posted later in the week. so wrap up your threads, make your spring break posts, and get ready for a slushie-free life for your characters!

thechoir-roomhq is a literate, next gen glee rp based around the college aged kids of former glee characters. whether they be in the big apple, lima, or elsewhere, there’s plenty of fun to be had.

winter sports are over! spring sport tryouts begin today and spring sports will begin march 15th.
please read below the cut for all available spring sports and alert the admins by friday at 5pm if your character(s) will be making any teams this season.
the cheerios will not be cheering for any teams in preparation for their nationals on march 13th! their season will be over following that date
due to a recent uptake in character applications that we are LOVING, we as a team have decided to move acceptances from first come first serve to every wednesday and saturday or sunday depending on when the admins have time! regardless, we hope that this decision will make it a little easier on ourselves when it comes to updating the main and also allow new characters to settle into the group.
