the grain beneath, cribbage board • @yellowtailwood and myself got commissioned to create this unique geological cribbage board as a Christmas gift. We were so fortunate to have our friends trust us with this special piece, and we put all the love into it to show our appreciation. A sectional look at the layers beneath the mountains, with an adit to enter their world. The layers of rock grains are burned between the wood grains of this 3 foot long (0.9 m) catalpa piece, working with the grain direction to choreograph the shape of the landscape.
