Little explanation(s) on how the heck I came up with these ships
CrimsonCellar started off as an au idea that’s been floating around my head where the beasts expect for Silent Salt kinda disappear after Dark Enchantress is defeated leaving their minions alone and susceptible to redemption. Since Salt Cellar never did anything to warrant any sort of redemption she instead ends up going on a journey of self discovery after having an identity crisis (her comrades aren’t the only thing she forgot during her wait for Silent Salt). At some point I decided that she’d hop on a boat at some point and Crimson Coral ended up sneaking her way into that train of thought and then I decided that they’d be cute together.
For Aquamarine, it originally started off as just her and Sugarfly since I thought that a little mermaid/eros and psyche fusion story with those two would be neat. Then I learned that Nutmeg Tiger apparently likes plants just like Aquamarine does and decided that they’d be cute with their shared interest and differing personalities. Nutmeg Tiger and Sugarfly is a ship that I’ve seen before and thought was cute and since I liked all three individual pairings with these three I figured I might as well make them poly while I’m at it
