Crisis Blade Chapter 01: A Discordance of Desire

Saree Emergild, the “Ruthless Empress” of Ankadria and recent captor of Lephros and Maddox.

BEHOLD, Bertram! A conceited and condescending Xana known as ‘Saree’s Left Hand of Intuition’. As the Ruthless Empress’ self-proclaimed tactician, he commands her army from the war room rather than on the front lines as Cyn would prefer. Despite advertising himself as a sycophantic general, he often takes action and commands his troops without his empress’ consent.

BEHOLD, Cyn! A haughty Xana known as ‘Saree’s Right Hand of Destruction’. Quick with her tongue and mind, she attempts to grab control of her situation all the time. A bit too proud of her magical prowess, she relies on it to do the talking if she cannot win with words. Her ferocity and skill ensure she is worthy of her title and place as one of two generals of the Ruthless Empress Saree’s army.

BEHOLD, Maddox! Lephros’ childhood friend and fellow guardian of Calet. He is a loudmouth and brazen with his thoughts. In the world of Ilrelm, every human has a unique ability, be it magical or otherwise, known as “Anima”. While Lephros can slow time with his, Maddox’s allows him to bring to life images of creatures he’s defeated in the past. With his summons, Maddox enjoys charging straight ahead in battle, leaving the planning to his friend. Despite their many squabbles, they would give life and limb to protect each other.
