Made with Pillsbury biscuit dough, these sugared donuts are incredibly crispy and light. They're a simple and quick treat to sate your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 1 can of Pillsbury biscuit dough. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Preheat the oil to 350F 175C in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot. Crack open the Pillsbury biscuit dough can and divide the biscuits while the oil heats up. Make a donut shape hole in the middle of each biscuit with your fingers or a small round cutter. In a shallow bowl, mix ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. When the oil is heated to the proper temperature, carefully drop a small number of the biscuit donuts into it at a time. Fry for one to two minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, remove the donuts from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove any leftover oil. Roll the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until thoroughly coated while they are still warm. For the greatest flavor and texture, serve the sugared donuts right away.
