These crispy halloumi burgers are a delicious vegetarian option for burger lovers. The combination of crispy halloumi cheese, fresh vegetables, and sweet chilli mayonnaise creates a burst of flavors in every bite.
Ingredients: 4 slices halloumi cheese. 4 burger buns. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce. 1 cup shredded lettuce. 1 tomato, sliced. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: To make sweet chili mayonnaise, mix mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce in a small bowl. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. If you want the halloumi to get crispy, fry it in the pan for about two minutes on each side. Toast the burger buns a little in the same pan. On the bottom half of each bun, spread sweet chili mayonnaise. Put tomato slices, red onion slices, and shredded lettuce on top. Add crispy slices of halloumi cheese on top. Add pepper and salt to taste. Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away.
