i have a bad habit of getting into sitcom esque friendships / friend groups i think. where everything has to be a joke and a thing to tease and vulnerability is rare , something offered for special sad episodes until someone cracks a joke and its back to status quo. in my journey to get nicer and feel like less of a cat-always-puffed-up in my relationships its been tough to learn who will get better with me and encourage being more sincere vs who makes me scared to drop the teasing lest i be next in line. on one hand i feel bad that im only now realizing i dont Want to feel like im always competing to be top dog in all of my relationships / groups on the other hand im glad im realizing this now so i didnt have to realize it later
