WIP Wednesday a new kryptonian crashlands on earth 300 years late snippet for @mystarduststories
"The sun," he clarified, jerking his head up. Lynn tucked a stray curly strand of hair behind her ear, looking at the alien sky then back to Kal-El. "It's . . . different."
"Different doesn't always mean bad. It's quite special to me, and I hope soon it will be special to you as well."
Lynn didn't rush to acknowledge him, instead turning back to the distant star. As much as she wished otherwise, she would bask under Sol's warmth for far longer than she had ever Rao's. It would become a familiar sight as time flew by, something to anchor herself with when she was lost. Against her will, the memories of Rao's comforting warmth would slip through her fingers like sand, replaced by the radiance of Sol.
“She paid it no attention, her focus on the bright yellow rays that fell softly upon her. Lynn reached out, shielding her eyes from the blinding beams of light in the process, as if to catch them in her grasp. Her other hand laid above her stomach wound, staining her fingers a deep scarlet.
She took a shallow breath, her mind going fuzzy on the edges, and gave herself a moment to simply soak in the heat of the native sun, ignoring the pain for a short moment. She didn't have much time left, she could feel it. Her injuries were too numerous and too deep to be treated on a foreign planet.
Her eyes fluttered shut, once, twice, barely processing the sound of a distant shout before finally succumbing to the darkness.”
Or, A new Kryptonian appears out of the blue, crash landing on the Kent Farm in dire condition. What are her connections to the last Kryptonians? And why is she so familiar with the House of El?

Warning: a new kryptonian crashlands on earth 300 years late briefly touches upon dealing with grief and self-worth issues
snippet for a new kryptonian crashlands on earth 300 years late:
Lynn snapped her attention back towards the heroes. The team gravitated towards each other, spending much of their time in the satellite in the company of one another, especially Kal-El and Batman. Through playful banter or emergency situations, they knew the ins and outs of their teammates, their friends, whether they acknowledged it or not. Lynn saw herself and Kor-Da in them, instinctively attuned to the other and willing to lay down their life for—
A light tug on her sleeve violently jarred her from her thoughts. The human—she really needed to find a way to refer to her other than equating her to a Rondor—had snuck up on her. Lynn took a few hurried steps back, alarmed at how so close she'd managed to come without Lynn noticing. Lynn knew better than to let herself sink into her mind!
The Rondor-like human made a hand gesture Lynn didn't quite understand, before taking an exaggerated breath in and out, then pointing at her. Lynn licked her lips. She clearly wanted Lynn to copy her and calm her breathing, but why? She knows Lynn is dangerous, her earlier behavior confirmed it. Why was she trying to help Lynn?
Still, Lynn steadied her shuddering breaths. This was no time to get so worked up, especially not in a place like this, where she was a guest. Her mother would be appalled by how vulnerable she presented herself, surrounded by how many other beings and wrecking the image of the Ren House. Lynn frowned, going over her time at the Watchtower before erasing all emotions from her face. She hadn't realized she had foregone proper conduct so quickly, her past interactions were littered with so much sentiment instead of the more appropriate neutral behavior all Kryptonians, barring the younglings, were meant to act with. How embarrassing.
Lynn gave a curt nod to the Rondor-like human, ignoring the fresh sting of hurt thinking of Krypton brought her, before turning and making her way towards Kal. She couldn't bear to stay another minute in this suffocating satellite. She wanted to go home, wherever that was now that Krypton, her one and true home, was gone. Kal noticed her approach, politely cutting off his conversation with Batman to face her.

Lynn knew she was dangerous, no, deadly. The way she murdered those Dheronians in cold blood proved that. She doubted she could get the images out of her mind. It was as if they were seared into her eyelids, the moment she closed her eyes they would appear once more. Images of bloody entrails, loosely connected to a wide open chest flooded into her brain. If she moved closer, she didn't doubt she would be able to see a heart flutter once, twice, before lying still between jagged, broken ribs. Another image, this time of a sliced neck, pink muscles spasming as eyes grew dull, head lolling lifelessly to the side, opening the wound even farther.
It sickened her, the thought of what she did. She trained in the Military Guild to help and protect people, not hurt them! But what else was she supposed to do, just lay there and let them kill her? No! She had family and friends to come back to, to live for! …But so did the Dheronians, right? She snuffed out their lives regardless of that fact. Why couldn’t, no, why didn't she just apprehend them instead of going for the kill?
All that just because she panicked at her first exposure to a dead body, despite what she was trained for. Even if they hadn’t died that day, they would have passed away anyway. That's what happened to everyone, to almost every last Kryptonian—
Lynn turned away, feeling nauseous at that disgusting train of thought. How could she have blamed that poor Kryptonian for her reaction, for saying their death didn't matter? That their life didn't matter?!

Lynn stared at the human. The human stared back. She tilted her head and so did the human.
The human—she was 90 percent sure it was a female—lurked in the darkest corner of the room. She had arrived alongside the one in a deep black cloak, which Lynn later learned was called Batman during her stay in the Watchtower, and hid for most of her stay. From what she could tell, no one had yet to notice the extra person in the room.
Lynn absentmindedly adjusted her headphones, keeping her eye on the human. They had been observing each other for the past 5 minutes, ever since the human noticed her staring. She knew the human was dangerous, it was written all over her. She reminded Lynn of the Rondors back home, passive until provoked, yet still having an intimidating aura. The notion was obviously reciprocated if the way the human cautiously observed her wasn't clear.
Inspired by California’s “super bloom” this year, this shoot features dainty flowers, dewy skin, and crisp whites. Combining different textures and simple details adds dimension to each look. Facial flowers is a current trend that can be applied in a full-blown way or toned down to a few small petals to help pull the look together.
