Little Thor for Aja

Aja's a fan of Norse Mythology, so I made her this little amigurumi. Making tiny things is kind of a pain in the ass because of all the little bits and pieces and small amounts of yarn of different colors you need. (^_^'). Still. It was worth it because I think it came out well

Also, I don't amigurumi much. So it felt nice to finish one. I meant to make a Loki too and got too lazy.

Chelly Hat Request(s)

Aja showed me this hat she saw on...tiktok? IG? somewhere, and asked if I could make her one. SO I DID. Original crocheter is itslewababy on IG.

I don’t crochet very often, but this was a very easy pattern. Then afterwards I made one for myself...and then for other people. Only downside was that I had to buy a set of giant ass crochet hooks. The pack I got had sizes 25/20/15mm (Handmade Beach Wood Crochet Hooks). I just laughed when they arrived because they seemed comically large.

Side note: this video is way easier to follow than itslewababy’s earlier videos for this hat...like seriously, I was jealous when I was sharing this video with other people because it was difficult to follow the first video I saw of hers vs this one. (^_^’). I am still grateful for the share nonetheless. 

So this yellowy-orangey one was the requested - very light, bulky yarn (I say light because the later ones are heavy af)

The heavy Chelly hats are below. Aja wanted a light hat, but I saw the pattern and wanted a big fuzzy hat:

Then nini asked for one and now we twinsies. (^o^)/ lolol.

Wore this to a convention and got lots of compliments. Sadly, this Loops & Threads - Cozy Fur yarn was on sale at Michaels in the fall (2022), but now it’s hard to find. Apparently, it’s discontinued /sadness/ according to this site: https://yarnsub.com/yarns/loops_and_threads/cozy_fur

Other notes: that fuzzy yarn is suuuuper warm and heavy. Also it was difficult to use because you can’t see shit while you’re crocheting. lol. Had to feel out the stitches with your fingers and honestly I just guessed a lot and assumed t was fine if it looked like the shape was coming out right. (^_^’).

Crochet bag for Meg

I don't crochet much, but the tension when I do is usually too tight, so that worked out for this bag I wanted to be able to stand on it's own and hold shape. :)
