Hi, guys! Hope everyone's been doing well while I wasn't around ;v;

Anyway, been doing school work nonstop, so I wanna rant somewhere to clear my head OTL Made SO MANY accomplishments at school even I couldn't believe myself XD Generally having a super awesome life and making a crazy amount of cool friends. Under the Read More is just crocus non-stop bragging about said accomplishments, so feel free to skip >u>;;;

[I really haven't been doing anything aside from school, so this post is really 100% only about school. Possibly super boring OTL]

+ School Life

NyaaaaaAAA----!!! Since I started this year's college, I've been so flooded with schoolwork I never had time to draw anything other than school tasks OTL;;; (Ue-sama--!! Missed drawing you so much~~ T___T)

On the other hand, I've been pouring everything I've got into school stuff. Certainly getting one of the highest scores in my whole grade and turning quite popular among the teachers and the studious students (yay~!) >u<,,/

As a result, I made so many awesome friends it's unbelievable----!! Currently, I hang around a crowd of over 10 people and talk to all of them often, being pretty close to all. They're all awesome artists too and we did school work and doodled a lot together-- ;;;___;;; As someone who couldn't make even a single friend in the past, I feel so blessed T___T (Hard work paying off! Yush!!!)

Yerp, since I never had this many close friends in real previously, this feels like a whole new life. I'll treasure these new bonds~ ;;w;;

+ Class Forum

I said that Imma make one awhile ago. Well, I did!! And it turned out to be quite a success! >x'D

The illustration course was divided into Class A and Class B (some 40 students each). Both have different schedules, so we almost never run into each other. With the internet forum, I seemed to have been able to break that wall to a certain extent. I (I'm in Class B) managed to get some close friends in Class A too from discussions in the forum >u<b We're now using the forum to do personal projects, homework discussions, and for having fun ouo,,

If you ask me, up until awhile ago, I had always been more of a follower. Whether it's projects or discussions, usually I'll be that quiet person tailing behind with whatever the group leader had to say :p

But this year, it seems that (somehow) I had managed to change that *__* I started to become more daring and confident about my own ideas. Now in group discussions, I'm the leader most of the time. Never thought taking the initiative could feel this awesome O__O

Thanking Ue-sama again for this. That commander part must have rubbed off a bit, nya~ =w=,, <33 (good) Not gonna lose! Will do my best to be a good leader and help everyone around me as best as I can! >:-DDD

+ Basara Friends irl!!!

Yaaaa---!!! I found some in my course!!!!  One of my best friends (who draws super awesomely) is one! She's mainly a Yoshiteru fan, but drew me a super cool Yasu once. I'm cry~ QwQ So I drew a Yoshiteru back. Love her so much~ ^3^,, <33 A super serious student too. Cool friend. We're aiming for the top together :3

Then this afternoon I FINALLY found another Yasu fan! ...In my own classroom! (Where had you been all this time?! How come I never knew?! <x'DD) So we doodled 4 pages of Ieyasu together in one go! Aaaaaaa ;;;;w;;;; (so happy)

+ Sensei!! XDD

There's one subject I particularly like (Art direction, generally designing things for games). It's more or less the same as the game designer job I've always dreamed of, and it's super fun, so I tend to pour too much energy into it @w@;;;

I keep getting one of the highest scores in each task, and the teacher said that I hit 300% of what was expected in one of the tasks, which no one had ever done until now au;;; In addition, sensei said that I had so much willpower that he found me quite interesting <x'D

Sensei!! I won't let you down! Will keep doing my best!! >u<

Hoping to keep this up until I reach the top of the world, yes~ Work hard, crocus!!!! *w*

Seriously, sometimes when I think back, I feel like I probably would've come this far if I haven't met him. Omggggg thank you so much~ ;;;;w;;;; And thank you to everyone who have supported me too. I'm a blessed person UuU,,

Update

Things had been questionable for two weeks awhile ago, but it’s starting to get better again this week. I managed to make some accomplishments at school! >u<

(Real life update ahead. Feel free to skip :p)

+ Art Direction:

Illustration course is super busy <x’D We have some new classes which weren’t there during Mune-chan’s time. Busy, but they’re super fun, so I can’t really complain >u<

Like, we have one ‘art direction’ class where the teacher acts as a client from a game company, asking you, as the designer, to design the characters in the game. I scored highest in the first assignment and got praised a lot by the teacher. Ohoho~ >u<//// <33 *is shot*

[Been designing AU stuff like nuts over here forever. So actually, I kind of have an upper hand <x’DD. But yeah, it seemed that I’ve put in over double the work compared to the other people, so sensei was happy with it *u*]

+ Concept Art:

We have a Spanish teacher teaching us digital paintinggg--!! *A* I’m not that good at it, and not the best in class, but this is a chance! I’ll make the best of this class to catch up to senpaAAIIIIIII!!!! *_____*

+ New friend

I made a new friend in class. She came from China and is super cute~ ;;u;; We actually got close enough to stick to each other and sit together wherever we go, too x’DD I haven’t had a friend this close in real life for over 3 years, so I’m super happy ;;;u;;;

Also, we have the same Chinese surname. SisteeERRRR!!! >x’DDD <333

+ Class forum

For the art direction class, we’re doing things in groups on an internet forum sort of thing.

Trello. Sensei said that it’s commonly used in offices where the pros are working, so he wanted to introduce it to us and get us used to it ^^

Btw, the illustration course students seem to be using it well. On the other hand, we have a total of some 90 students in the course. Sensei said that in the past years, due to the number, people weren’t able to talk to some of their classmates even by the time they graduate.

So mixing the two together, I wanna use the site to make a class forum, so everyone can actually talk about things outside school and make friends. Sensei said I can go ahead with it. Let’s see what I can do with the illustration course’s boNDS XDDD *is shot again*

+ 3 Kingdoms

Homework. We need to draw a character from the ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ (sanguo/sangoku). I knew nothing about this and didn’t know who to draw <x’DD

So I researched 2 days ago from Wikipedia, and then ended up deciding on just going with Liu Bei *____* It’s either Liu Bei or Zhuge Liang for me, but I guess I’m more to Liu Bei, personality, position and job-wise, so I went that way~ <x’DD (Twin swords!) [Mune-chan went for Zhuge Liang if she had to choose XD] These two’s relationship and plot are fun :3

But yeah, just from reading the summary, this looks cool *___* I dug around for Liu Bei samples in games, too (sangoku musou and all). When I’m reading about his personality and stuff, he reminded me of SB Ue-sama. ...A lot. They should meet and make friends o__O *shot*

Anyway! Will go do my best to design and draw a good Liu Bei >u< *goes off to do homework*

漫画科最強--!!

A little before the Golden Week holidays, the manga class at my college had a welcome party for the new students (first years). Mune-chan was there. Well, I graduated from there last year. My kohai are now second years ^^

So Mune-chan said that the second year students were calling me the「漫画科最強」(mangaka saikyo / strongest in the manga class)! x’DDD

Omg guysss, thank you so much--!! ;;;u;;; Although I’m currently a loser whose draft cannot even get past my editorrr OTL (trying to debut takes work! I don’t have enough skills yet! >A<)

Well, anyway, I managed to make a legend at school, so I wanna work harder and actually succeed at debuting. I won’t let my teachers and kohai down! Lets see if I can turn「漫画科最強」into「漫画家最強」(strongest manga artist)! >x’DDDD

- N’kay, managed to finally clear my head of depression after sitting though hell yesterday. And it had to be in the middle of chasing a homework deadline, too. Depressed head was haunting me all the way, recalling every depressing moment from years ago OTL;;;

I didn’t sleep at all, rushed through the homework with everything I’ve got, worked for over 12 hours straight, made the finished version look super crappy, and submitted 30 minutes late... ;;;___;;; But at least I managed to finish, submit and survive somehow >A>;;; Sorry, sensei. I’ll do better next time... ;;;A;;;

Well, either way, fainted on the bed after that and slept for a long time. Now I’m back to my full mental health and will be drawing like nuts again, so look forward to that! >:’-DDD

- Hmmm.... But really, lately, nothing particularly good’s been happening to me. That and I feel like I keep making the wrong choices recently. Every once in awhile, I just wanna say, “stupid Crocus!!”, and then bang my head on the table a few times... >.> If I’ve been bothering anyone without noticing it, I’m sorry OTL;;;

I know I’m still half-baked in so many things and there are lots I still can’t do. And I just can’t have that for myself T^T *is rather strict with self* Gonna be my birthday soon, so I hope I can grow up and be a better person...

^Yeah, I’m still doing it. Not stopping, man. Added 11 pages this time. 32 more... I can do this! >:/

- Feeling super dissatisfied with my drawings lately. I’m squinting at the way I colour and draw in general, especially the way I colour. Ugh--!! <x’DD No worries, though. This is usually just a sign that I’ve developed a better eye to see more flaws and will level up soon. I’ll see to it that I do! >:-)

Till now, I had seen LOTS of people being rude and hurting each other. Pretty much everywhere, and about anything.

Everybody says and does things without ever considering how it will affect their surroundings and other people’s feelings.

Like just, WHY do they have to do that?! Why are people so mean to each other? Do you like seeing people around you suffer and feel bad because of something you did? Don’t you care for other people’s feelings? Is it okay to feel awesome by yourself while someone else is crying?

One 'stupid’, ‘trivial’ sentence you said might spoil a person’s WHOLE DAY, or even multiple YEARS, and then what’s next? “It’s completely NOT my fault. If you feel offended and your day is ruined because of something I said, it’s YOUR fault for being offended so easily.”

^Might have a point but....????? Can you still say that and completely not take the blame when what you said/did looks obviously like it might offend someone, whether you mean it or not?? And then completely blame the other person for it and not even apologize OTL;;

I don’t mind if it’s like, 13-14 years olds because they’re still young and have much to learn. But 20+ years old people doing this???

....So, to the people reading this, if you have any kindness and consideration in you, can I ask you to please, PLEASE think about the effects of your actions and words before you say/do anything?

Being polite and kind is not that hard. By just doing some simple things, we can make a better, more caring world for everyone to live in. Got a looooong way to go, but that’s the type of world I'd love to see... ;;;u;;; I think we can do it if we all work together. :’)

P.S. I don’t care if people think I’m stupid after reading this, or if I lose Followers for this. I think this is a real problem and I want to solve it... Or at least make it even a little better. I want people to stop hurting each other... ;;__;;

Update & random stuff

- Just started college, so I’m still rushing all over the place and attempting to settle down. There were so many forms to fill and so many things to prepare >u>;;;; I’ll eventually get to answering inbox messages. Please bear with me for awhile. Thank youuuuuu--- OTL;;;

- Last week, Mune-chan and I went to the Edo Tokyo Museum because they were having a Sekigahara Exhibition there *__*

^The ticket booth. It was a weekend, so it was super crowded <x’DD This exhibition is made to commemorate the year Ieyasu died (1615). It’s exactly 400 years this year ;u; Lots of things inside, but you can’t take photos >u>;;

The best thing inside for me would be Ieyasu’s fan-shaped umajirushi (the main base’s marker, the rightmost one in the second pic here). It was so huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggeeeeEEEE---!! ;;;u;;; And golden and awesome that just by looking at it I feel really moved, nyaaaaaAAA~~ QQQuQQQ *excited* ... *wants to touch* *is shot* That thing falling down when Shingen and Yukimura attacked Ieyasu’s base at Mikatagahara & Osaka, though. Must be heavy >u<;;

At the exit, they sold lots of Sekigahara and Tokugawa-related books and merchandise, so I shopped a bunch (needed them for research and projects) <x’DDD Had quite a lot of fun ^^

- omg As expected, pixiv and twitter are going wild over Ieyasu’s TMR DLC and tanuki gauntlets. There’s suddenly a huge flood of fanarts and parodies of those. Aaaaa---!! *screaming excitedly* I’m having too much fun and getting super excited! I don’t even remember the last time I did, so Capcom, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ;;;u;;; *feels totally refreshed*

- And as a side effect of that, I managed to make 3 (4? XD) new friends today?! o__O;;; *is surprised myself because it’s usually super hard for me to make friends at all* OTL God, thank you for the blessings. Yasu, thanks for bringing us together! *A*

- They were all in twitter and we talked in Japanese a lot the whole night. Everyone’s so kind and I got a chance to practice, so I’m super happy ;;u;; Thank you, guys~ TuT
