Festivals currently taking submissions

Here’s a list of comedy festivals that are currently taking submissions. 

Crom Fest - Atlanta, May 20-21; Omaha, May 27-29; Denver, June 3-4 - $20. Submission period ends tonight, Jan. 1st, at midnight. Submit to all three fests in just one submission. - Acceptance notifications will roll out sometime in January.

Laughing Skull - Atlanta; June 7-12 - $40 til Feb. 1st; $50 til March 1st. - Acceptance notifications by April 1st

Bridgetown  - Portland; June 1-5 - $25 til Jan. 31st  - Acceptance notifications by March 1st

Limestone - Bloomington, IN; June 2-4 - $25 til Feb. 14th, $25; $40 til March 13th - Acceptance notifications by April 1st.

Memphis Comedy Fest - Memphis, TN; March 31-April 3 - $15 til Jan. 31st

Green Gravel - Iowa City, IA; March 4-5 - $25 til Jan. 22  Cape Fear - Wilmington, NC; May 18-21 - $25 til Jan. 31st - Acceptance notifications by March 1st

Bird City - Phoenix; April 8-10 - $25 til Jan. 15th - Acceptance notifications in late January/early February

Crom Comedy Fest:

Just wanted to give a late shout-out to the OK Party guys for throwing Omaha's first stand-up festival. I heard it kicked major ass. I wasn't able to go to it, unfortunately, but it had 2 nights of great line-ups, pulling in national talent like LA, Chicago, and Denver, along with many of Omaha's best locals. I did however get to attend the after party held at our very own Studio Gallery, and play kickball with everyone the next day. I didn't get to see this either, but I guess Dragon Boy Suede, Howard Kremer, performed on my stage pretty early into morning. I believe he was the guest monologists at ASSSSCAT! the first time I ever went (possibly second.) Also the first (possibly second) improv show I ever saw. That would have been 6 years ago at least. Then the next day, I played kickball with some great up-and-coming stars like Ben Roy and Sam Tallent. This is the second kickball game I've played since I was a kid. My first? Three (possibly four) years ago, I played with great improvisers like Matt Besser, Danielle Schneider, Neil Campbell, and Will McLaughlin. Funny how things work out in the comedy world.
