I can just tell No Feet's like really proud of himself for finding the toilet paper roll I put in his tank, almost like it hasn't occurred to him that I put it in there for his enjoyment.
Like "heh-heh-heh I am a clever snake she will never find me in this conveniently located toilet paper roll I will now use as a hidey spot."
Accidentally made No Feet the happiest snake alive. He'd taken a shit in his enclosure so while I was cleaning it out, I looked for a place to put him down for a minute. Well I'd just finished up a small box of kleenex so I was like "heh perfect" and let him slither in.
Well now he won't come out and my hand is too big to reach in and get him without destroying the box so I stuffed a paper towel in there for extra coziness and just put the whole kleenex box in his enclosure.
It's like his own personal snake clubhouse and it's fucking adorable.
Sometimes when I'm feeding No Feet he'll strike at the pinky and just completely miss and it's like aww baby it's okay you tried...
and he just sits there for a second like how in the world did I fuck that up it's not even a live mouse. I can just feel the shame coming off of him in waves.
