day 12-13: man I’m struggling 😔
So, I was thinking about this (because apparently thinking about Warriors, specially Luther, is my thing now) and the implications behind it.
I had to research what this meant because my dumb ass did not realize it was part of the most famous prayer of the religion I grew up in 🥴 (in my defense, I'm not English. English was not englishing). When I finally understood what this part is, I laughed HARD because Cropsy is QUITE LITERALLY worshiping Luther here, and Luther is... well, worshiping himself, which makes sense.
But this got me thinking: what a devoted fella this Cropsy guy is, huh? Then WHY didn't he help Luther out against the Warriors and the Riffs?
I have 2 hypothesis for this: Cropsy's either such a chicken he wouldn't even try to help his most dear person being cooked or Luther got beaten up so hard in front of him that it was enough for him to lose all the respect he had, and from what we can see in the other songs it was a LOT of respect.
Either way, I can't stop thinking about their dynamic
(also I think it's about time for us to come up with a ship name, huh-)
day 11: I gave up on drawing a 3/4 so here’s Cropsy front-on
In the musical Luther treats Cropsy better than he does in the game and in the movie AKHSJDK
Am I the only one who thinks cropsy gives off this energy in Luther's songs? No?
The Cream Of The Crop - Fanfic
nobody asked but I did it anyway! Luther x Cropsy fic, boppers, enjoy (and please read the warnings)
Two things come naturally to Luther: causing havoc and picking on Cropsy. The problem is: both of those things have the potential to cause major consequences to his life. Which one will come first? or Watch me trying to adapt events from the game into a gayer, more evil form. And would there be a better way to do that other than using the musical's universe, aka the gayest Warriors thing to ever come out?

Burps asks for more luther and cropsy because you have the most valid takes 🙏🙏
Ok there's something I *was* thinking about their dynamic, and it's that Luther's basically a school bully full of followers, but with a total amount of 1 actual friend. At first it may seem like they're somewhat united under an ideal, despite this "ideal" being basically misogyny and racism (hence killing a black woman who was trying to convince her people to rise up [😎] and fight), but in the Finale it is very clear that no, they're not.
The whole point here, especially in the contrast between the Rogues and the Warriors ("your crew is scared of you, see how it scatters / my crew would die for me, loyalty matters!"), is that the creation of a false common enemy by hateful groups, despite being a strong notion that literally moved nations throughout history, is not capable of creating real human connection. Fear will not make people be by your side till the day comes, but people that are followed because of fear have the false feeling that they can use their followers however they like and that they'll always be there.
Luther feels safe to do whatever the shit he wants during the entire musical and, apart from my theory that he has deep connections with the police, he feels that because his crew's going to back him up — and that's especially because of Cropsy.
In the musical, Crop's the only other Rogue that has a voice, so one might think that's the sole reason Luther seems to only talk to him, correct? WRONG, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS IN THE GAME ASWELL
I've watched all of the cutscenes in which they appear, and for some 🏳️🌈 unknown 🏳️🌈 reason 🏳️🌈 he's always ignoring the shit out of his crew to talk individually to him (there's one instance in which he literally pushes his way through a bunch of his dudes like literally throwing them out of his way just to talk to Cropsy about something he COULD have just told the entire gang about).
It's giving 💫loneliness 🌈. Luther obviously doesn't have a sense of collectiveness, but that also applies to his own gang. He doesn't care about the others. That's pretty clear when he cowardly leaves 2 of his guys behind to be killed by the Furies in the game and brags about it, saying that they were annoying wimps and everything. But he does care about Cropsy, in his own distorted way, and he also seems to crave this weird, unrestrained physical contact and proximity with him that, unfortunately, is hard to represent in a music album.
I know I'm getting too far from the original topic, atp I'm just yapping, but THEY MAKE ME INSANE. Luther is just a bully prone to having zero empathy towards human life and honestly being careless about his own life too... Cropsy tries to make him see how actually dangerous their situation is, but he brushes off, claiming that he's "having a good time". He thinks Cropsy's paranoid and seems annoyed by this constant worrying, but differently from the two I mentioned previously, he doesn't try to get rid of him.
That's either because, despite being drastically different, at the end of the day they think the same (the musical leads us to believe this as they start singing together after the phone call), or something completely different that we'll never know. Because watching the game scenes you start to ask yourself what Cropsy's even doing there seriously 😭 dude seems to always be on the verge of a heart attack, and Luther's super abusive towards him all the fucking time (the weird proximity I mentioned. Luther's basically always touching him in one way or another, but mostly pushing him around, pressing him against walls, pointing guns to his head... etc) he doesn't seem happy to be there at all!
I wanted so bad to see how this crew started. By the looks of it, I could bet that Luther and Cropsy started it together. In what circumstances did they become a gang, how they gathered people, how they got into Cyrus' network??? (now THIS is a good question)
I'm not sure if that's what you wanted but- yeah I had to talk about this isolation Luther seems to have from everything except Cropsy.
Also, I refuse to believe Cropsy ran away in that part of the finale. Sure the Rogues were disorganized during the fight, but I don't believe they, especially Cropsy, just left Luther to be wasted by the Riffs like that (even tho apparently he would let them die like that with no hesitation). Though I might just be delusional here because there's literally no indication that Luther wasn't alone when Masai told the Riffs to get him. Something something I might work on that later. For me Luther would be like an annoying cockroach that refuses to die.
I drew the motherfuckers
I can't stand myself see how I even put the height difference from the movie bcs I'm literally just picking what's convenient for silly silly me
