Homestuck Alternate Wallpapers Sources Below the Cut!

1) This is the wallpaper Dave was using at the time of one of the best rap-offs in the history of paradox space. Colour-corrected and modified, as seems to be common. The Homestuck version appears to have something overlaid on top of it, but with Delirious Biznasty in the way it’s hard to tell. The text has also been modified. If this was some pre-existing version that Hussie borrowed image search isn’t finding anything. (This is, obviously, a promotional wallpaper from the 2004 film Starsky & Hutch, and is itself a reference to its recurrent appearance in Problem Sleuth) 2) Dave’s Phone Wallpaper. The Homestuck version is clearly from Hussie’s personal copy of the original photoshop files of their 2005 comic And It Don’t Stop, prior to the addition of text boxes (or just with the text layers turned off). How Dave got a copy is unknown.

3) Bro’s  Wallpaper. A crop of page 25 of And it Don’t Stop.

4) Calliope’s Wallpaper 5) Crosbytop Wallpaper. You can find this image of Bing Crosby all over the internet being sold as posters, but I cannot for the life of me hunt down a year or a photo credit. Is that what this thing is? You've had it for some time, and don't quite remember how you got it. You never knew the identity of this pipe-smoking creature. Perhaps it could be the same species as the character you just saw under the rug. But you know that is impossible, because this one does not feature the same bizarre furred lip. They are probably differing species within the same genus.

O.K., so we all know about the Homeric tale of the Con Air bunny in Homestuck and the many hands and names it's gone through, but I think more needs to be said about the journey of the Crosbytop! It started out as a practical computing device bought by Johns father at the Dadly Depot that was kept in his wallet which CD stole. Jack then retrieved the wallet from his corpse after killing him for blowing up Jade and stuffed it inside Lil Cal who he later threw on an Aradiabot to distract her. She then traveled back to when the Reckoning was happening and got smashed by a meteor that would land near past Aradia on one of her digs. She discovered the destroyed robot duplicate as well as the tattered remains of Cal and the wallet he held. She then used the Crosbytop as her primary computing device. It can then be assumed that at some point during the trolls' session Jack Noir got a hold of the singer inspired laptop and kept it with him through his own exile and the creation of a casino and mob ruled town on Alternia seen in the Intermission.

Waaaaait a second. So, Aradia STILL had the Crosbytop when she got to the Veil? But how did it ever end up in Spades Slick his possesion then? I had thought she'd lost it during the session, and that it had then somehow gone back to Alternia through a portal. But...none of the stuff on the ectobiology meteor ever left it anymore to go through a portal, soooooo....??? I'm gonna add this piece of information to the list of unresolved plot points (holy shit I haven't updated that since January).
