got any tips for finding good clothes to crossdress in?

Honestly I just use amazon. If you want some specific vendors, Avidlove's skirts are very comfortable, and I mainly get socks from Century Star, though that's mainly because I can't find green thigh-highs anywhere else.

I need to come up with a femboy outfit for each of my 40k armies.

Emperor's Children, Sons of the Phoenix, and Custodes are the easy ones. Hell, the EC and SotP ones have been in my mind for a while now.

For Emperor's Children, it's something simple, a purple shirt and thigh-highs with an olive green skirt--that way I match my army's own paint scheme. Obviously there'd be more accessories, but those are the basics.

For Sons of the Phoenix, it's on the opposite end of the spectrum--a Space Marine Ancient cosplay carrying a femboy pride flag as the banner. I'll be working on that over the summer.

For Custodes, well, TTS was how I got into 40k, and I have a Kitten mini that I use as a Trajann Valoris cosplay. Obviously it would be a catboy maid outfit.

For Grey Knights, T'au, and my homebrew chapter, I'm less sure. Perhaps a femboy nun outfit for Grey Knights, and definitely something very Japanese-inspired for the Emerald Wings. No clue what to do for T'au.
