CROSSFIT OPEN 2014: ARE YOU PREPARED?
In a few hours, 14.1 will be announced! I would still consider myself fairly new to CrossFit. I started June of last year and thought I wasn't ready to participate in something like the open yet. After a lot of convincing, I thought, why not? I have improved so much since I've started and I definitely would like to know how far I come this time next year. So, I'm not participating in the open to compete because I sure as hell will not make it to regionals. It will be a great experience for any one out there, no matter your strengths or weaknesses. It's all about growing, seeing how far you've come, and seeing how far you will come the following years.
Even though I'm not in it to compete, I still want to perform at my best. I've done some research to calm my nerves a little and I wanted to share what I've come across.
One of which is a podcast by Barbell Shrugged:

And the other is a list of dos and dont's by WOD Connection:

Hope this helps anyone out there participating in the Open and good luck!
