Whenever I see these photos side by side, it reminds me of how far I’ve come. In the first photo, I absolutely dreaded working out and eating healthy. I was literally so frustrated because I had taken THE “before” picture so many times to kick off a fitness journey and my previous attempts had not given me the results I wanted. . . . Truth is - I’m still not where I want to be. However, I am very proud of myself for losing and keeping OFF the 35lbs I’ve lost. Since the first photo was taken, I’ve fallen in love with working out. I never thought I would EVER say those words, but I seriously enjoying working out - specifically power lifting. My week doesn’t feel right if I can’t get my hands on a barbell💪🏽 . . . I’m so grateful to be a part of the @crossfit_spot community! One of my fitness goals for this year is to add more gymnastic skills to my repertoire. In 2016, I accomplished pull ups, something I never ever thought I’d do. I have a little fear of being upside down for too long...BUT a couple of weeks ago, I kicked myself into a headstand without freaking out 😋 This year, I also want to do my first muscle up. . . . All in all, I’m so grateful for my physical body and I’m going to continue to work to be in the best shape of my life. Because why not? I want to be able to hike a mountain when I’m 100 😜 #OperationBroadwayBodContinues . . . #KaiHugs #KaiHugsWorld #Fitness #CrossFit #CrossFitSpot #NYC #NewYorkCity #FitnessJourney #Transformation #Transparency #TheJourneyContinues #WeightLoss #WeightLifting #BlackGirlMagic (at Manhattan, New York)
