Ah yes my compadre in creating the worst relationships between characters (Ig and Lucy specifically excluded obviously). I love your writing style it’s so muscular, there’s no wasted words; they all carry weight. You can’t skim anything or you miss so much depth.

I’ve enjoyed seeing all the arcs you take your characters through. It is one thing I do really enjoy too is that you aren’t afraid to commit to an arc and execute it, it makes for a great writing partner but also a blast to read. As a consummate thread stalker this is so important . Also cannot say enough nice things about you, you’re funny and thoughtful and really go above and beyond for friends. I admire your conviction in helping others and also encourage you to yell more at people!

Morning after

Send ‘Morning After’ for a starter where our muses wake up together after hooking up the night before.

Hanael would wake up to bared teeth, crackling electricity, and fury so pure that it overrode reason. Nose-to-snout with him would be the Architect himself, trembling in rage, disgust, disbelief. His distress was palpable, coming off of him in suffocating waves of painful static. He was still naked. Whatever fluids that had gotten onto him sizzled off, steaming from the fiend.

Kha'xanzyr opened his mouth, to speak, to curse, to demand. But all that emerged was a primal scream and the daemon threw his head back, feeling his body fail under the weight of so many powerful emotions, only one of them the anger that birthed him. But the rest could not survive in his body. Or rather, his body could not survive them.

The lines of his form began to fray and cracks appeared in his brass-skin. Jagged, agonizing fissures, each one loud as a thunderclap, spreading and spreading and spreading until at last, the daemon shattered. A veritable grenade of bone shards, molten brass, and the concussive force of hatred, the Bloodthirster Kha'xanzyr was no more....

It's an expression The Duke picked up back in the war and liked so much that he never stopped using. It's surprisingly applicable.

His big hands are occupied as he speaks, polishing an antique shotgun. Over his head, a jeweler's glass, which gives him the appearance of having one eye bigger than the other.

"If you're here to ask again about that stock you ordered, I'm afraid it is still in the post, so to speak."

Squiggles are wobblers: Han does not ID as queer, it depends on the sports (he will watch/do combat sports), and his passion comes and goes.

26. What is your least favorite holiday?

It's become Halloween over the last few years. It's to our generation what Christmas was for boomers, overmarketed and overmerchandised, a national tat trash generator. Which is a shame cause I love me a good costume party but seeing Halloween crap everywhere in August makes me want to commit arson.

28. Do you have any childhood heroes that aren't your heroes anymore? If so, why aren't they?

If I ever see Neil Gaiman it's on sight. I will not lie, Sandman was a formative comic series for me since hs and there's a lot about it that I still think is pretty cool (because I haven't read the Heavy Metal issue he ripped it from yet lol). His stuff was very inspirational for Audrey and her setting; I learned about the Hounds of God in the first place because of The Graveyard Book.

But even ten years ago when I was following his tumblr I started to get a weird feeling about him that something I didn't like was going on behind the scenes. When the rape and abuse allegations came out I wasn't one bit surprised.

This is why I will not interact with Good Omens blogs or content and I'm still deciding what I'm comfortable doing with Sandman related blogs. Audrey is a feminist character and I try to be a feminist writer; I do not want to engage with or support media I know was created by a rapist and abuser, especially one who worked so hard to present himself as a progressive good guy (and I do feel comfortable making that assessment looking back on his work). I know a lot of people have very mixed feelings about all this because he was such a big deal for so long but that's my personal line in the sand.

Came bc you seemed cool and Lucy seemed interesting (actually I think Amber introduced us? Idr), stayed because you ARE cool and Lucy IS interesting. I've never not been deeply impressed by your ideas and your execution of them.

Ammy is my six degree of separation with almost everyone on this site 😂 chances are high that is the case! Han is one of my favorite portrayals of a demon he’s awful! He’s terrible! But he is still interesting to read.

You know what my purpose is and you think I'd have to pretend anything? That I could?" Silence fell. The cold absolute type that could only be upheld by the two of them; the unnatural stillness of the demon meshing uncomfortably with the lingering freeze of Oblivion that clung to her like spiderwebs some days. "Didn't I answer you?" She asked finally, pointed and mean as fox in a trap. "Didn't I come when you called too?" Alive, she wouldn't have done it, or if she did she would have checked -- would have verified it was no trap walking into Purgatory. Han and she had no fondness for one another, she would've checked if it was true -- at least a message to Toni. "I do not like you, Hanael. But care is all I do, regardless."
