little mid-july what i'm working on/what's currently eating my brain update because i have never effectively managed a workload in my life 🫡
✦ the next installments of shinobi gothic still one of my main ongoing priorities! these will continue appearing on an uneven schedule because i cannot be expected to adhere to a consistent posting calendar, i'm afraid. the gothic shinobi will emerge from the fog when they are ready and not a moment sooner
✦ a rival in red — alucard x reader this one was on the list from last month and is definitely still planned!! alucard remains scheduled to encounter the deeply inconvenient experience of another vampire in red entering his territory and refusing to be appropriately impressed by him. thoughts and prayers for absolutely nobody involved
✦ bathtub triage — dante x reader a one-shot of dante stumbling home to you after a fight, wounded and bleeding in your bathtub and cracking jokes as you stitch him up because he knows you're scared. keeping my mouth shut on this one cause i love it and don't want to spoil too much
✦ the ongoing 31-fic october/halloween project this beast will be simmering away in the background for the next few months because, against all reason, i have decided that october requires 31 fics... planning, drafting and stockpiling horrors will therefore be happening behind the scenes while i work on everything else. this is less a current posting priority and more a seasonal weather system gathering strength over the horizon

✦ naruto headcanons post for @strawbearymishake currently in the process of answering the extremely important academic question of who among our naruto cast would embrace a submissive-masochistic partner’s desires? this one is already becoming a proper character-by-character excavation because i guess i can't just say "yes/no/maybe" and leave with dignity
✦ a dante x reader one-shot featuring a tailor reader who is sick to death of this man destroying his coat i already have a rough draft of this one and i'm SO fond of the concept 😭 reader keeps repairing and replacing dante's clothes, dante keeps returning from jobs looking like he fought a woodchipper, and somewhere in the middle of that stupid cycle there are Feelings. i can't wait to get back to it
✦ respawning — alucard x human!reader a one-shot for the anon who sent me an entire CHARACTER DOSSIER for their reader character, which remains one of the funniest and most effective ways anyone has ever activated me. this is a human reader/alucard fic where death has become less of an ending and more of a recurring logistical problem, and i am having a completely normal time with it
✦ a comforting itachi x reader married life fic with a little one added today because i thought about answering this with something shorter and then made the catastrophic mistake of thinking about it for more than 30 seconds and realised i could do so much more than that, which itachi deserves 🥹 currently being haunted by the image of this man finally having a quiet home, someone making sure he actually eats and rests, and a tiny little person following him around while he softly explains the entire world to them. i'm unwell
✦ naruto headcanons post for @pink-sunrise-56 this one was also added today and will be talking about naruto characters comforting a partner who worries they talk too much, ask too many questions and unintentionally annoy everyone around them. i really like the character selection here, i can't wait to get to this hehe
that's the main little priority pile at the moment! no hard posting schedule because i know myself and refuse to stand before you all and lie, but these are the things currently nearest the front of the brain queue, plus the requests list and one enormous halloween creature gestating ominously in the background 🫡
