What was the end goal of this? This would just hurt the players and at worst kill them.

Did they want a counter to psychic dualists? Or use this as punishment of some sort?

Does anyone else feel that Crow doesn’t think much of himself?

I feel that after Pearson’s death Crow molded himself into sort of a ‘hero’ figure for the kids of Satellite. He wants to be a symbol of hope for the kids like Pearson was for him. I would not put it past him that the reckless daredevil act is a little played up to impress the kids and appear cool to them.

I believe that being apart of this project made Crow feel like he could be apart of something important. That maybe his life could go somewhere. Once that ended, he tried to fill in that role of being a symbol of hope for the kids. He never wants the children to feel hopelessness like he did.

I feel like people don’t understand that Pearson represents hope to Crow. The story felt like the ideas Pearson represented mattered more than Pearson himself. I’m not saying that as a bad thing. It’s just that this got caught up in messy writing.

I have to ask, what would have happened if the card really did burn in the fire? Bolton would have been in a financial crisis. Even if Crow lost he still would not have the card.

What if’s aside. This is what confuses me. I know Bolton is desperate but if Crow is saying he doesn’t know about the card why would Bolton not believe him? Crow has no reason to lie to him.
