Rose for both on the floral questions! <3
Rose: Are you currently in love with someone?
Abby - Oh definitely! She makes it no secret just how smitten she is with Hancock. She also has a group of people she loves in a platonic way. Those people may not be ‘love’ on the romantic level (they’re more ‘family’, really), but if you were to ask her who she loves? She’d be hard pressed not to include them in her answer.
Neal - If you were to ask Neal, he would shrug and deny having feelings of that sort. He would claim that Travis is just a friend who’s good for stress relief. After all, he has quite a few friends of that type in his life, and he still has fun with them on occasion. But truly? He’s never felt this way for anyone before. Travis does something to him. When the tiny smol pilot leaves Sanctuary, Neal finds himself in a funk for days, just lonely and missing him badly. When he’s there? Neal can’t recall ever feeling happier - even in the pre-war days. Everything about him just makes his heart beat a little faster.
Hell, he’s even given Travis a cheesy pet name - Nightingale (since he can sing and, well, being a pilot it just seems fitting to call him something bird-related). But he just shrugs that off, telling people that he has nicknames for most. While that’s true, you can usually tell if he’s trying to annoy someone or if he finds them endearing just based on what nickname he picks, or his tone when calling them by that.
He has yet to even tell Travis how he feels. I think Travis knows, but Neal hasn’t ever really said the words. He shows him as best he can by his actions - romantic dinners, random gifts, ect… but no matter how much he may want to, there’s something about saying the words that terrifies Neal, as though admitting it may destroy whatever magic spell he’s currently under.
