| who was crowley? |
I know the theories that Crowley was Raphael. And I love them, they are AMAZING!
But, you know who fits him better?
Kokabiel, the Angel of Stars.
A FALLEN ANGEL.
Like listen, this fits him surprisingly well.

Just wanted to share my theory also here on un Tumblr
Crowley Headcanon:
Part of the reason Crowley hated the 14th Century and riding Horses (and not just because they're tough on your bottom)
Its because horses get startled by him. Because of his snake like characteristics horses never settle around him and always get wound up.
Horses are scared of snakes!
Made trying to travel the human way rather difficult before they invented chariots and blinder and all that.
Before then the only Horses Crowley could use were the great black mares with flaming eyes and sparking hoofs Hell provided.
And they rather unsettled Crowley.
Gabriel: “But I’m the only first order archangel in this room. Or yknow, in the universe.”
*Camera switches to a face shot of Crowley contemplating*
Crowley knows and we know that there used to be another archangel. Crowley used to be that archangel.
While I love the Crowley is Raphael theory, it would make more sense in my opinion if lucifer and Satan are two separate entities and if Crowley was Lucifer.
Think about it, Crowley is the snake in the garden of Eden, a role normally given to Lucifer, Crowley has clearance higher than all the other angels even as a demon, and he is literally shown to be able to make entire galaxies and solar systems when he was an angel. I have other examples, but there is a bit more dodgy (Lucifer as an angel of light, Lucifer having red hair, etc), but this theory has a lot of evidence behind it and it would explain the religious trauma Crowley has towards heaven.
Unless I've got very bad hearing, I don't think Satan/the devil is ever referred to as Lucifer. The only time Satan is referred to as Lucifer is in a different show with Neil Gaiman characters, the show Lucifer, which is not part of the same universe as Good omens.
I would love other people's theories because it's generally so interesting to hear everyone's side, in my opinion.
is this what i think it is
[GOOD OMENS] I always get confused when people theorize that crowley is lucifer because its obvious that he can't be. people seem to forget that we literally saw benedict cumberbatch as lucifer in season one. crowley was the one that urged adam to fight back against satan/lucifer.
and the whole point of crowley is that he isn't tied to heaven or hell. lucifer was only angered and hated by/for heaven, whereas crowley hates both.
it would've been a cool theory i can't lie but it's just not possible
