PEPPER!!! Who is the not-onceler on the left of that picture? :0c
The Not-Onceler is named Tack! He’s from The Thief and the Cobbler (he is, in fact, The Cobbler), which was a non-Disney competitor for Aladdin and tells a similar story, except the animation is CRAZY. Also the character who is simply known as The Thief has the most HILARIOUS narration of his entire story.
In short, it’s a really cute, really funny movie.
crowmod said: End pink hate dude. ------------ ugh, yes. I'm not gonna get her ugly clothes because I don't want to deal with a kiddo crying and throwing a tantrum because her favorite color is actually patriarchal oppression. Like try explaining that to a PRESCHOOLER.
crowmod said: It's only oppression if you give them the power to make it so. Pink hate is honestly a huge manifestation of this 'oppression' because it still equates pink to be evil because it is associated with the female gender. Pink should be loved as equally as any other color if we are to lift up femininity, as loving it just as much shows even a color considered feminine is beautiful and important crowmod said: Plus a preschooler shouldn't have to worry about such things. They are but babies. it is now that is the most important time to reach them to love everything and embrace pink as they would embrace the rest of he rainbow and not letting people convince them that there is a bad color because of its connotations and history. Pink is pink. And it is good. That's all that should matter. sweetredbeans sweetredbeans liked this ---------- sweetredbeans said: How can I follow that? (Very well said Ty). I'll just throw in my two cents which is: If she wants to wear pink and like it--go for it. It seems to me that it's only "patriarchal oppression" when parents force their kids into liking/wearing a color that society thinks they should rather than what they as small human beings want. ------- Thanks both of you. It's more like people who apply their opinions on everyone else. I understand that some parents are awful and force their kids into wearing or acting a certain way, the 90s were filled with pink hate thanks to that. You'd assume people would get out of that mentality already instead of recycling it. Yes, Pink is common in barbies and princesses and cosmetics, and there's nothing WRONG with that. If a kid likes pink, regardless of their gender, that's ok. And who the hell does anyone think they are to understand what it's like to parent daughters OR sons unless they are qualified child psychologists anyway >>;;;;
