Steve still feels funny from the Asgardian whatever it is Thor brought down from his home with him. All Steve knows, to be honest, is that it's honey coloured and tastes oddly sweet and it gets him drunk, which nothing in the world should be able to do. Although to be fair, it's not of this world at all. Maybe that makes it an exception then.

But he's sobering up; there's still a buzz in his system, giving him Dutch courage. He has no idea if Thor's planning on staying, or if he's going to leave after their little Avengers catch up, but maybe that's just another factor for what he does.

He grabs on to his shoulders with steady hands, and pulls himself up just a little way to plant on a kiss on his lips, to the corner of his mouth. He doesn't have an explanation; when it's over he steps back, catching himself, safe guarding himself. He's not sure. But he gives a small smile, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
