Protecting Our Waters
“Despite these borders, our waters are connected, and therefore, so too are our futures.”
The Crown of the Continent ecosystem spans many different tribal lands, countries, states, and other types of jurisdictions. Although humans recognize these borders, water bodies - and Aquatic Invasive Species - do not.
A new interactive story map from the Crown Managers Partnership explores the management of Aquatic Invasive Species across this vast ecosystem. To date, no zebra or quagga mussels have been detected within the Crown of the Continent, but it’s no simple task to keep it that way.
