I just saw Scott's recent stream, and the way Xornoth was acting kinda gives me like: Looking for a person to possess vibes.
So here's my theory/hc: Xornoth is just an old, evil/corrupted demon/spirit. And while he's only shown up & talked as a voice or spread corruption and like, a shadowy figure- he's looking for a specific host. He can't fully interact with the world until it has a host. And while they've been talkitive with Shubble/Joey/Sasuage/Fwhip... the only one it's really watched at the moment would be Scott. Just watching, never talking. Watching & Spooking, never talking because it wants to merge with Scott, possess him essentially. And maybe it's already started. He's taken Scott's voice, as a kinda "claim" to others-- even if the voice is severely distorted-- a claim stating "hey this is my host, my elf to possess". And Aeor is the spirit of Rivendell. it's protecting Scott for now, because they know- they're aware... but the Corruption in Scott's base is spreading towards his Crystal/Enchanting area... and the first place we saw Xornoth on Scott's stream was the Enchanting Tower. I propose: Xornoth is able to FULLY possess Scott when his Crystal powering Rivendell/The Enchanting Area (I don't quite remember which one it was) is fully corrupted, as it's basically like- the state of the Ruler/Kingdom. But that's just a theory.
