Quick, rather unhelpful update just so you know I haven't forgotten: chapter 18 is still in the editing process, so probably another week or so, depending on schedules. And I don't know if I mentioned, but Ch. 19 is already a few thousand words in, so that's a plus for the future I suppose!
Been poking at about 5 different spiderverse ideas alongside Ch.19 too so you'll probably start seeing those pop up soon. On the bright side, at least the writing muse is back.

I played a bit of it and liked it.
Ok! So! Sorry for my writing update absence for the last few weeks and thanks for your patience. I hit one of those periods where nearly all my writing seemed horrible and made me want to delete it, so at that point it's best to leave it alone.
But! Now I've edited chapter 18 as best I can, and sent it off to the lovely beta reader for some assistance. So fingers crossed, update either this week or the next, as their schedule allows and edits require.
Also, probably gonna end up at 21 or 22 chapters total with how long these go, but that's the theme of the story at this point. No need to worry :P

And the new chapter is up! Chapter 17 is now available on AO3.

Writing Progress
Ok, so I got my full notebook typed out into a document and...remember how I said it'd probably be a few thousand words?
It's 9000. Chapter 18 is at 9400 words. Quickest I've ever written anything, honestly :D
Soooo, usually I would call that good and post it, but what I've got is all just Emily/everyone readjusting after Corvo's reappearance. I've only just started the next scene with Daud now, where they might actually have Discussions, and I swore I'd get some of that in this chapter
So I figure I should finish that first, and see the word count and where the most natural split is before making a decision. Can always post as is if it takes too long. And we're pretty dang close to another chapter, either way!
Ok, sorry for missing last week's update, guys. I have about five different excuses - the most annoying of those being The Plague I am currently suffering through - but what you actually want is word count, I'm assuming.
Still probably somewhere in the 11k field, would be my guess, as I am, unfortunately, still trudging through this scene. Finally started to get some motivation to write this weekend, so I'm gonna set a tentative deadline for next Saturday to finish this chapter, and we'll see how it goes.
And ok, can't put titles on the Tumblr posts anymore? Or am I just inept and missing it?
