Ok! Ok ok ok good news and bad news, and I realize I skipped last week's update again, but that was because I didn't want to jinx it.

Because! Good news: I've hit a good stopping point for this chapter! It's technically 'done', just needs editing now.

Followed by bad or maybe mediocre news: I only broke this writing block by writing absolutely WHATEVER came to mind. Which means that what I have is uh...a little rough? Maybe a little melodramatic lol. That is my go-to. So I'm probably gonna need another week or two for editing, and we'll see if it stands up. But! It's written! Progress!!!

It's just a relief to be writing again, even if we won't even get back to Emily in this chapter, because I always take longer than I think I will. But believe me, there's enough emotional convos for one chapter anyway.

Also. Fucking Daud. He's the reason it took so long. Swear to god, he is the most argumentative character I've dealt with, I'm going to drown him in the river. Why do I even like him. Why do you even like him, Corvo. Where is your taste. This asshole. Jesus Christ.

Anyway. Thanks for the patience, guys. Aiming for next week!

@twoalpacas Alright, I did it! Screw you, hellsite! I had to trim it down a bit, but the earlier bits just showed Corvo walking along with me so I don't think much is missed. Here he's flying down from the tree after he flew ahead of me.

Okay... So I don't really do fanart, or at least I haven't until now. But I was in the mood to draw and I had an idea for a collection of sketches inspired by a fanfiction I read so... Here's my first attempt at Crow!Corvo/Daud fanart!

Quick, rather unhelpful update just so you know I haven't forgotten: chapter 18 is still in the editing process, so probably another week or so, depending on schedules. And I don't know if I mentioned, but Ch. 19 is already a few thousand words in, so that's a plus for the future I suppose!

Been poking at about 5 different spiderverse ideas alongside Ch.19 too so you'll probably start seeing those pop up soon. On the bright side, at least the writing muse is back.

Ok! So! Sorry for my writing update absence for the last few weeks and thanks for your patience. I hit one of those periods where nearly all my writing seemed horrible and made me want to delete it, so at that point it's best to leave it alone.

But! Now I've edited chapter 18 as best I can, and sent it off to the lovely beta reader for some assistance. So fingers crossed, update either this week or the next, as their schedule allows and edits require.

Also, probably gonna end up at 21 or 22 chapters total with how long these go, but that's the theme of the story at this point. No need to worry :P
